"New manager in office is amazing! She definitely cares about he residents and is making positive changes! I highly recommend this place! Good environment, fitness center, amazing pools to relax in and conveniently located in Central Austin"
"I moved into these apartments about a month ago, so far so good, I haven’t had any issues with anyone. Management and maintenance are great as well! Every time I’ve had a issue and hit up the maintenance man, he’ll solve it the same day!"
"Edited after management's response, here, not in person. Any bad review they respond with "we didn't know please contact us" my name is right there, contact me. This post does not include all the issues, just the ones from the top of my head. I don't know where to begin with these people. I'll start with the bugs. I've had a roach issue for over a year. They brought in their environmentally friendly bug guy for a few weeks, it got moderately better. First time he checked the traps and nothing in there he stopped showing up. Little did he know I set them THE DAY BEFORE, so not a good accounting. Haven't seen him sense. Went ahead and bought bug spray myself to fix it. Been better since. P.S. I let the office know 'so it's getting better that's good.' The common areas are only open during office hours, so if you work don't plan on taking advantage of that. They knickle and dime you for everything. You pay for a package delivery service and trash pickup. The delivery service has 1 out of 5 stars. The trash service is well useless. I park my car exactly seven steps from the dumpsters. It isn't needed but they charge me anyway. Basically you're a money sponge they are trying to squeeze the most out of. I live by the dog park, I can literally smell the refuse from it on hot days. No one cleans it. My car has been broken into several times. Security is non-existent. Yes they give you a number to call but no one shows, and they only cover certain hours so if you have an issue between when the security is off and office is open good luck. Non residents use the pool area constantly. The whole thing is a joke. Don't move here it's a dumpster fire. Also be used to walking to your car and having homeless people literally dumpster diving harass you. I'll never rent from Roscoe again."
"I lived at Belara for about a year, moved out in September. We didn't really want to move but a few things made it tough to stay... Pros: The apartments themselves are actually pretty nice for the money. Nice counters, a lot of cabinet space, etc... Washer and Dryer in the unit are nice and pretty new as well. If you are a UT student (my partner is a grad student), the UT shuttle 670 comes right to the building. The staff were great while we were there for the most part. Roland was a great guy but left. The interactions I had with the new staff were pleasant. Cons: I've never experienced so many roaches in my life. We kept our apartment tidy, we had the treatment done through Belara a few times, but it never seemed to do much. On our own we used roach motels and other treatments you could buy at HEB which helped a bit, but it was never-ending. Packages were always an issue. A package machine was new when we moved in. After they had issues with it, and then someone vandalized it (not sure of the details on that), it was closed for months. During that time, sometimes packages went to the office, sometimes to your door. Packages at the door in this part of town are just a bad thing most of the time. Personally, we had two stolen. There are Amazon lockers close by and we began having anything we could shipped there. Lastly, and this isn't on Belara, there was an on-again off-again homeless encampment behind our building in the woods. It didn't bother me, it's a reality of living in the city, but it led eventually to just tons of trash and other junk piled up on the other side of the fence that persisted for months, even when folks weren't living there. There was also a giant hole in the fence. Overall: If you want a nice apartment and can get it when the prices are on the lower end and you can look past some of the cons, not a bad spot. If roaches freak you out, you get a lot of packages delivered, etc... maybe look elsewhere."
"The manager James and Assistant Mgr Roland are awesome. When I talk to them I feel like I am talking to family!!! Nice grounds well kept and the inside is nice as well. Update 03 25 2023: issues with pest!!! Gnats sliver fish roaches and mice!!! Roaches coming out of my stove top and fridge. I pay for pest control"
