"Genuine honest company doesn't over charge."
"They came out same day to repair my dryer. Steve was very helpful, had the parts with him, and answered all my questions. The bill was reasonable for the work and parts. Second time I’ve used them. Hope not to need them again, but if I do, I know they’ll take care of me."
"Warning! Do not use this company! Unreliable, untrustworthy, and unprofessional. I contacted LG on June 8th to repair an LG washing machine under extended warranty. LG forwarded the repair to Advantage Maytag (was not my choice). After a week of hearing nothing, I contacted LG again and they placed a follow-up with Advantage Maytag who finally showed up on June 24th. The technician said parts needed to be ordered. After a month, I followed up and the response was they are still awaiting parts. On August 6th, I received an email from LG that Advantage Maytag cancelled the repair. Now I am back to the beginning having wasted 2 months waiting for nothing with this worthless company. Reading other reviews, their customer service is horrible. Why Advantage Maytag is still in business is beyond me."
"I REALLY don't even want to give this company one star but a rating is required. I needed my oven, refrigerator, and washing machine repaired. Steve came out and wanted to see everything that I needed done. I showed him the appliances and explained what needed to be done. He started by telling me that I should have told them that the washer and dryer were stacked and he needed another person to come out and help him take the dryer off the washer. There would be an additional charge for this. I told him that I would try to find someone to come over and help me and we would get the dryer down. Steve told me that I needed to empty the refrigerator and he would start on the oven while I unloaded the refrigerator. I got some coolers and started unloading the refrigerator. Steve started barking out orders about getting everything out of the fridge and taking the shelves and drawers out. I was working on it and he said several times that it had to be completely unloaded. I heard him the first time and was working on it. Steve looked and the oven but was unable to fix it because he did not stock the needed part. I refused to have Steve order the part for the oven, because I was not confident in his ability to fix it. Steve then began working on the refrigerator - which was TOTALLY empty. The problem was that water was coming from somewhere and would freeze under the bottom drawer. That was the ONLY problem with this appliance. He was unable to figure out what was wrong with the refrigerator. He made several phone calls asking for assistance. He worked on it for a while and even was SITTING inside the refrigerator. He is very large and it concerned me that he was actually on the bottom area of the fridge. He couldn't find the problem and needed to get in the back of it but was unable to do so because it would require that the handles of the fridge be removed, which was going to be an "extra" charge. He could not fit through the opening to get to the back of the appliance. He said he wasn't sure what was wrong and I didn't want to spend any MORE money when he wasn't able to figure out the problem to start with. So the refrigerator did not get repaired. Steve began looking at the washer. I had called my son and he took off work and was on his way over, when Steve saw that there was a small tube that was easily accessible that had a small hole it it. He cut the end of the tube off and reattached it. Finally, something was repaired but my son took off work for nothing! The next day I noticed that lights were flashing on the front panel of the refrigerator. The dispensers for the ice maker and water were not working. I opened the refrigerator and all of the items in the drawers were frozen - meat, vegetables, fruit, cheeses - all frozen. The items on the upper shelves were barely cool and had to be disposed of. I called Advantage Maytag and explained my situation. I requested to have a DIFFERENT repairman come out because I didn't feel that Steve was competent. It turns out the Steve is the owner and only repairman and his wife works for him. After MULTIPLE phone calls, I was finally able to schedule an appointment to have Steve come repair the things that he broke. That appointment was for today. I received a phone call from Steve's wife informing me that Steve would not be coming out because he didn't cause any of these problems. I totally disagree with that. I have had this appointment for over 2 weeks and received a call the morning of the appointment to cancel. This is unacceptable This is a TERRIBLE company!!!"
"Again to reinforce what most of their reviews online have said - if I could give them negative stars I would. It took 1 week just to get a serviceman in to tell us it was a compressor problem on our 5 year old refrigerator. $75 for that service call but thankfully the compressor is still under warranty. They would order one for us and then we would have to make another appointment to fix. But they couldn't tell us when it would be in and they wouldn't set us up for the appointment. Over 3 weeks later we called to check on the part and were told that the part was never ordered due to someone's mistake. They didn't even apologize. 3 days later the part was miraculously in! But then we were told that it would be another week until they could fit us in to their schedule to install the part (which was going to be a $400 installation fee). I own a business. This is NOT how you do business with clients and customers. When you make a mistake you apologize, own it and make it right. It does not matter if their servicemen are full on their schedules. This is when the owner of the business steps in, does it himself, or pays one of his guys to work an extra shift that day because a valued customer has been without a refrigerator for a month due to his carelessness. Don't use this repair service - look at all the reviews - you have been warned."
