Reviews
"Charming indie bookstore and cafe right next door to Benton Park. They host lots of events as well."
"This coffee shop is pretty amazing. The coffee is good, there is an awesome selection of indie books of all types, they have awesome evening events plus Tarot and a write in on Fridays!"
"We were through many months ago. Meh. Why does this place exist? One man's ego, said my partner. Self published is also called vanity publishing. It takes a lot of confidence (I guess) and funding to publish one's own writing especially when those novels are written so poorly that the sentences barely make sense. If Fraternity of Fractures were a decor it would be Piss Elegant. This is library for unpublishable books. Life's losers, an astonishing number of whom seem to be writers, can bring their novels, where they will be welcomed, and shelved on commission of course. The owner has jerk written all over him which is his ... autobiography? We bought some tepid coffee which helped us leave quickly."
"Staff is lovely and the coffee is delicious. Very charming location, good selection of books on a variety of topics. Sandwiches from Elaine's are available in the cold case and are delicious. Great place to hang for an afternoon coffee. Check out their vendor fairs they host on the street!"
"I’ll be honest, I thought it was going to be a sci-fi/horror book store (spine, skeleton…) It’s a very intimate space with independent (hence the name) books. You won’t find any big names here, a lot of them are self published. The coffee shop seemed to have a lot to offer, including a few libations if that’s what you’re looking for. If there were prices on all the books, that may be nice!"
