"DO NOT LIVE HERE, unless you like throwing money away for mediocre, overpriced, tiny apartments with dirty/broken amenities. The entire building smells like wet dog and they do nothing to facilitate moving in or out (no service/freight elevator, you have to park in the trash bin loading dock and go through the parking lot and a bunch of doors to get there). Packages get stolen all the time. Trash is left overflowing (see pic) from the trashcans every weekend. You will see/smell dog poop everyday on the elevators, which are BROKEN at least once a week. Rude, untrained, and irresponsible staff. You will get 3 different answers to any question if you talk to 3 different employees. Be sure to get everything in writing with Lamar Union and save pictures of emails and forms after any requests. They kept my deposit even after they sold me a $140 "no-hassle" professional cleaning service. They lost the form I singed. I showed them a picture of the form and they did not accept it. I guess it's convenient for them to offer the service, not clean, claim you never paid for the cleaning fee then keep the $500 deposit, even after I asked multiple times if that's all they needed from me. Every time I called they said yes everything is fine you'll get your deposit back within 30 days. 2 months later, corporate (grey star) calls saying I owe money for leaving a dirty apartment on top of them keeping the $500 deposit. I don't mind paying if I did something wrong, it's the principle of the situation which really speaks to the kind of company Lamar Union is. Any reasonable /responsible company would've gave me a call at the very least instead of lying. Same predatory tactics that fitness gyms, telecom companies use. Lamar Union is extremely unorganized, misleading, and dishonest. Lamar Union front office cares more about throwing lame community events than cleaning the windows (so dirty from the outside you wont' be able to see out of them)."

"We moved in recently and so far are big fans of Lamar Union. The location is great as there's a large number of good restaurants and neat bars in the area, as well as some nice parks (like Zilker) nearby. Really, the only issue we've had so far is with the windows. There's no real problem on Lamar Union's end, but the manufacturer who made the windows for every apartment apparently has gone out of business, which makes sense considering the quality of the windows. It sounds like every window (or nearly every window) will eventually have cloudiness, smears, and fogging due to an "argon" leak between the dual-paned glasses. I've attached photos below showing what that looks like from the outside. It sounds like Lamar Union has a plan in place to replace the windows, but it's a long effort considering the substantial lift required. If you're moving in, one last thing to be aware of is the height limitation of the garages. We made the unfortunate decision of moving in during the heat wave over Texas and while we were told that we'd be able to park our Home Depot moving truck (9'4" clearance) in the garage, that wasn't the case. All the staff members with whom we've spoken (Miranda, Michelle, Patrick, etc.) have been incredibly responsive and helpful in answering our questions. Overall, we love it here so far, we just wish that the window manufacturer/installation company had done a better job initially and that there could be a more efficient resolution! ----- Note: This review will be updated as new information/progress has been made available. ----- Update (10/2/2023): The staff have been extremely accommodating with our requests, for which we're very grateful. We recently had someone stop by our apartment to measure for new windows, which gives us hope that they'll be replaced soon. We also ran into an issue with a space we had rented at the apartment, but the team was incredibly helpful in rectifying the problem."

"Great amenities and retail in the building. Residents don't pick up after their dogs and pool is a party scene. The townhouses on the Treadwell side are lovely and chill though!"

"I’ve been living here for a year now. There’s a lot of good things about this place and I would definitely renew my lease, however, I am moving out of state. Pros: - Really nice management and maintenance. Any issue we had was resolved pretty quickly - Lots of places within walking distance, not to mention many good businesses on premises - The apartment itself is very spacious and bright - Common areas are well maintained Cons: - (Depends on the apartment) there can and will be street noise. Every Wednesday at 7 am contractors are leaf-blowing the street and it will wake you up 100% of the time. Occasionally drunk people, stupid guys on loud motorcycles etc. - There are two EV chargers in the parking garage, however, only one charger works 95% of the time. We had an issue when someone parked their car on one of the working charging spots blocking the accès for like a month and we had to complain to the management about it (after that the car was gone within 1-2 days) - Apartments are not soundproof, so it absolutely feels like there are elephants living upstairs. We had a complaint about noise coming from our apartment too, even though I never listen to music, dance, throw parties, move furniture etc. - They use fetch package delivery service. I really wish they had a package room, because fetch adds 0.5-1 business days of delivery time."
