"Went to visit my sister and the appearance on the outside was very nice. Upon entering the apartment the complex was very quite and well kept. I did meet a young lady that worked in the front office name Dee Dee that asked if I need any assistance and gave me more information about the complex and she even followed up with weeks ago week later about my interest. She was very nice and welcoming. Dee Dee was very knowledgeable and gave lots of information. This is definitely a place to consider."
"As others have mentioned, the move-in delays, delays in the provision of appliances, and lack of communication from management are immense problems. The appliances and layout of the apartments are quite nice, but completely outweighed by the abhorrent management. Mail keys were not provided until 3 months after the allotted move in date. I had to learn my parking space from another resident because I never received the email telling me where my space was. I had a leak in my bathroom above my washer and drier that was impossible to miss due to the loud metallic ringing that resulted from the impact of the water on the top of the appliance. However, despite this, I had to submit two maintenance requests on the topic, as the first one was marked incomplete. I was told by the maintenance worker that when he looked the first time he "could not find" the leak, despite my leaving very clear handwritten instructions on where to find it on a note on my dryer, and describing it in similar detail in my maintenance request. Over a month later, and my apartment was not experiencing a significant decrease in water damage. It was clear that there was a new leak in the system. I submitted a maintenance request on that, and they tried a fix that, after a little under a week of observation, clearly did not alleviate the problem. So I submitted a new one, and the went to work directly above my shower, where water had begun to seep through the ceiling and leak into the shower. They cut open the ceiling, exposing the pipes and beams, and located a leaking pipe. I was told by them that they could not finish that evening - it was about 6:40 at this point - and so we arranged to have them come back the following day at 10 am. I said I could spend all day on campus to give them space to work (the units are quite small). I received an email at 2:00 in the afternoon stating the maintenance request had been marked complete, yet when I arrived home 2 hours later, I found my apartment in the exact state they left it in the previous evening. A giant hole in the ceiling, a pipe leaking directly into my shower, exposed beams, and chunks of plastic and drywall covering the shower floor. And this was a "completed" maintenance request. I have had it with this property, and the second I have time after this semester ends and I am no longer preoccupied with schoolwork, I intend to pursue legal action for failure to respond to critical maintenance issues in a timely fashion. The first leak took almost 2 full weeks for them to acknowledge and when all is said and done I will have been dealing with the same leak issue for nearly two months."
"Horrible. Our safety isn’t valued. Doors/gates are left open 24/7 and allows any and everyone to roam our property. Our stairwells contain human feces from homeless people. Multiple cars get broken into every night because they did not provide enough parking for the entire building. Security guards are lazy. All they do is play on their phones and sleep. They even told me that I couldn’t use the vending machine that’s supposed to be 24/7. It’s basically November and we still don’t have an elevator. The fire alarms have been going off recently which inconveniences everyone. Management is not concerned for our safety nor complaints. They allow certain residents to do what they want. Trash the building and no consequences are given. But when a young and trying college student is a bit short on rent… THEY ARE QUICK TO SEND AN EVICTION NOTICE… Oh and they’re charging $150 a month for a garage that only has 80 spots… just a SCAM!"
"Management is not good and doesn’t really respond well when help is needed. My restroom ended flooding due to someone else unit. I ended up losing half my clothes due to it’s flooding and not having a washer and dryer to clean my clothes afterwards. It took almost a week to fix the toilet flooding issue afterwards it took another 5 days for my restroom to be cleaned and even that didn’t happen I had to go buy the cleaning supplies myself and clean. I wasn’t compensated for anything. Then at the beginning of the month the money hungry front office people tape late rent notices poster on your front door with all of your information for other residents to see as they pass by unit which is extremely unprofessional. The worst part of that situation was that my rent was actually paid ahead of time yet I was still done this way. When I brought this up there was no apology given or even recognition of mistake just correcting it and saying “oh”. We don’t even have air filters for our vents. My first 2 months here I didn’t have hot water. I’m giving my review for awareness. I know it’s going to be some generic response saying email them but these people have hardly ever responded to an email or call they usually avoid them or plainly ignore them."
"My experience with Global Houston has been a complete disaster. The constant move-in delays, No elevators (Which is not probably going to be here till October), No Washer and Dryer (as shown in the second picture), No gift cards provided as promised (I haven’t received my 2nd gift card yet) and lack of communication have been infuriating. But what's even worse is the security situation. My car's window was shattered in their assigned parking lot, and another car was stolen. This is inexcusable, and their response has been inadequate. I can't emphasize enough how disappointing and frustrating this has been. I will update this review if I hear any updates from the Global Houston Management."
