"Unfortunately kids get sick specially with this Crazy Houston weather which keeps drastically changing. I've taken both my toddlers here several times and always receive excellent care. I hate having to use the urgent care but I love the fact that they are open on weekends and late at night. Thank you to the staff for always treating Mi kiddos with love."
"We use the Texas Children's Dr office right next door to this facility so normally when I can't get an appt with their Dr I take my 2 sons here. My youngest is 18 months old and had been running 103+ fevers for several days. By the third day, it hit 104 and my husband told me he was taking him to urgent care. I was going to meet him there since I was not at home at the time. The facility opened at 4 so we were at the doors waiting when it opened. Walked in, got into a room within 15 min and waited for the doc. Now I will say, normally I love the staff and have had zero issues with the doctors prior to this experience. Let me also premise with the fact that i have been a nurse for 11 years, 6 years as a pediatric nurse in a hospital and now a NICU nurse. The doc came in, checked my son out and told me his flu test was negative. I had asked the nurse to check him for strep but was told she had to get approval from the Dr because they don't normally test kids under 3. So I mentioned this to the physician when she told me that his flu was negative. He had respiratory symptoms and was congested in coughing. But the last time he had fevers this high, he surprisingly tested positive for strep. I mentioned this fact to the physician and also the fact that I was a pediatric nurse in the past and was told that she had no doubt in her mind it was not strep. She thought he had the flu and just had a false negative test. So of course I got the "It's a virus, he's going to run high fevers for the next several days, he looks hydrated and healthy so that's pretty much all I can do" talk. She refused to test him for strep, despite my request for it. So my son continue to run high fevers for the next several days. I had messaged his normal pediatrician over the weekend and asked for advice basically. She said if he continued running fevers that she would like to see him on Monday. We went to urgent care on Friday. My older son happened to have a well visit on Tuesday so we got an appointment tacked on so that I could take them both at once. They again tested him for the flu but also tested him for strep at my request and guess what, he was positive for strep. I am absolutely furious at that position for not following through with my request to test him. It was a simple as putting a swab in his throat. It would not have taken any additional time and he could have been on antibiotics several days sooner and not been running such high temperatures for DAYS. You claim that you only want exceptional care and exceptional experiences and yet, a parent requests a simple test and is refused and my son had to suffer because of it. I don't know if this doctor had a god complex or thought that she was just always right, but what harm would have done to run the simple test?"
"The staff here are so wonderful and so kind!! They always go above and beyond for my kids and I!! Every doctor we see is amazing, but Dr. Rosenfeld is a cut above the rest! She really made my daughter feel heard and then took such great care of her! Her diagnosis was amazing and she knew just what to do to get my daughter feeling better asap! You don’t see many doctors like that now a days. You can tell she really cares about her patients! I just wish she had her own practice so we could see her every time one of my kids is sick. I recommend this place to everyone!"
"If I could give a - ⭐️ I would do just that. After explaining to them the severity of my nieces symptoms. They refused to see her stating that there was only 1 provider an that at this time they where only accepting appointments only. They simply took her oxygen level an stated that was all where able to assist with. This is extremely disappointing. The in-take nurse Mabel was very rude an non-chalant! She would not give any information as to who the provider was on duty at that time. She has asthma an has already been to the hospital multiple times. This was a waste of time and a waste of gas. There was no one in the waiting area which led me to believe that we were racially profiled."
