The Filling Station 305 East 35th Street, Davenport, IA 52806

"This is an old style diner. It was really crowded so we are in the garage patio seating which was a nice old design. We ordered appetiser which took a little bit to come out but was good. Then i gat the prime rib sandwitch with au jus sause. It had good flavor but the bun was a little hard and thick. My wife had the philly swiss sandwitch and again it was pretty good and had a lot of swiss. Overall it was good. Service was slow and i had to ask to get drink refills. It was pretty pricey i thought."

"Met my dad here after class on a Sunday night and asked our waitress for Johnnie Walker which they were either out of or don't carry. She recommended something else that I liked just as well! Our burgers came out rather quick and were great! Such a fun, unique, local, and important restaurant. Prices are fair, service is quick, atmosphere and decor is great, waitresses are friendly and knowledgeable, and food is outstanding. If you're in the QCA and haven't tried the Filling Station, please give it a try. It's been going strong since 1971 for a reason!"

"The filling station why this name you might ask. Well the interior has many filling station signs and memorabilia throughout the resturant. Enough about that whag you want to know is how is the food and service right. The service started off a bit slow, but once she got to me i got my beer as well.as the food quickly and she came by to check on me a couple of times and when i was finished she presented me with the bill and cashed me out quickly. Now onto the main part the food. A large menu of options from burgers, pizza, and wings. I can't pass up wings when i find them so i ordered the 10 piece wing breaded with the medium sauce. There are i believe 7 more sauce types spicier then this and only 1 less spicy. It still has a good tang to it and I'm not sure i could handle anything more spicy then this. There was adequate meat and sauce on each of the wings which all consisted of the lower part of the wing and at the end of tbe meal i was completely full. I would highly recommend giving this resturant a try if you are in the area."
