"Bottom line: RENT ELSEWHERE. If you read all of these scathing, negative reviews and still decide to live here, I have no sympathy for you. I signed a lease in March and had to return home to Seattle to move all my things down. Before I did, I got a bunch of stuff to move in. I told the leasing office that I would be away and to NOT touch or move my things, explaining EXACTLY what the situation was (big mistake). I finally arrive in April and literally everything was stolen, all brand new and in its original packaging. I talked to the leasing office about it and they had no record of anyone being in my unit (at LEAST three different groups of Weston staff members had entered since somebody also took a closet door and my microwave for use in another unit somehow thinking my apartment was unoccupied). They used the administrative code to my front door and waltzed in to do whatever they wanted to do and nobody had any idea who it was, when, or why (in blatant violation of section 14 of their own leasing agreement stipulating a note be left if a property is entered when the tenant isn’t home). Questions about who has the door codes, if they are ever rotated like when an employee leaves, etc. went unanswered. The administrative ticket for the trespass and burglary was quietly closed a few weeks later. I’ve never felt safe here as a result, not being able to go on vacation or to leave the apartment for more than a few hours a week should another staff member decide to use my home for some impromptu shopping while the office just shrugs about it. The former property manager once showed up at my door at 2AM pretending to be a regular tenant and tried to interrogate me about a smoke smell coming from my apartment (it was coming from the adjacent parking garage where everyone always smokes; you’d think she’d know that). The fact that she didn’t even bother to identify herself tells you about how underhanded this place’s dealings are. The fees! $75/month for the yard (should be included in the rent), $50/month for the washer/dryer (never had to rent these separately before), and $35/month for valet garbage service, which will leave your garbage outside for over a WEEK until you finally move it yourself and who I didn’t use past the second month because they’re worthless (also I think they took my trashcan). Fetch is a package delivery service so stuff doesn’t get stolen. When it’s good, it’s okay, and when it’s bad, it’s a living nightmare unlike any you’ve ever experienced. Expect it to take over a week and multiple attempts and emails to customer support to get your stuff when things don’t go right. None of these are opt-out. It’s all an easy way to squeeze more money out of you; you pay $146 in non-negotiable fees after all is said and done. What you get for all this is just REALLY not worth it and overall it feels like you’re living in a real estate investment company’s tax write-off. The office staff are COMPLETELY useless and only exist to bring in new naive renters and scam the existing ones. It takes me at least THREE contacts to get anything done and half a dozen calls just get the my lease signed (which was still full of errors). They tried to charge me a pet deposit twice. I gave my notice in December (60+ days) and handed in my keys on 2/23 and the lease ended 2/28. I still got a bill for rent and a $250 month-to-month fee for the month of March, meaning I get to start bombarding them with calls again. I could not have possibly made it any easier for these guys and they still screwed it up."
"Staff are super nice, it's in a great location, and prices are reasonable! I've really enjoyed how friendly and diverse the other tenants are. Many cultures and life stages, all in one complex! I also greatly appreciate Ruben, one of the maintenance guys. He is so helpful and always asks about my day when he sees me walking my dogs! He even helped get my phone out of a storm drain after an unfortunate falling-out-of-my-pocket incedent. My only issues are that the dog park is escapable, which is not great. Also roaches are gross, but as long as I've kept my apartment clean, it hasn't been too bad. Espescially considering we are by the bayou. Fire alarms go off randomly. All things considered, I've had an overall great experience living here! I even renewed my lease in a new unit on the other side of the complex for more space."
"I would give zero stars if possible , but it is not an option. CONSIDER OTHER OPTIONS IF YOU CAN, BEFORE RENTING IN THESE APARTMENTS. Since the beginning it was the worst experience, we lived there for one year and the only positive thing I can say was the agent Steve (although I believe he's no longer there). When we arrived there was no A/C in our apartment, making it unbearably hot, fortunately Steve fix the problem and sent someone to repair it, AFTER 3 DAYS, we had a little portable A/C for the whole department. I must say it is the most dirty apartments I have seen, we were told they were changing the carpets for tiles but it never happened. I had to literally remind every several weeks for they to clean the stairs and halls, and their “cleaning” was just passing the broom a little with no noticeable improvement. Additionally, be aware you will not pay what they tell you in the beginning because you need to add valet trash, building fee, package delivery fee, water, gas… imagine all the money they get for building fee ($15 per apartment) and they can’t even clean the place, took them more than 4 months to change one mirror of the gym, it is just incredible. And when I thought this torture had finished they told us we had a balance and never received our deposit, we had to pay 90 extra dollars for the worst service ever. After sending more than 6 emails to follow up with the deposit, and they answer none of them. Feel free to contact me for more details because I wouldn’t finish if I mentioned them here."
