Furnished Apartments Medical Center Houston

"A medical family’s nightmare. We stayed in a ground unit at Kimpton Apartments (first mistake, do not stay at Kimpton). Upon unpacking our belongings, we discovered how filthy the place (primarily the kitchen) was. My mother-in-law and I spent hours cleaning and sanitizing the place to make it livable. Cheetos and crumbs of food were under the beds, mattresses with huge stains, crumbs in all the kitchen drawers, dirty appliances and utensils, food splattered down the walls, the floors were black when mopping, but the worst was the roach infestation. Literal roaches falling from the ceiling, crawling on our baby, our children were scared to go to bed not knowing if one would crawl on them in their sleep; it was a nightmare. Adam and the apartment manager tried to tell us this was normal for Texas, however, we quickly learned otherwise after talking to other landlords and managers in the area. They came and sprayed the unit twice which then caused the female roaches to lay eggs and we then started dealing with tiny baby roaches on top of the regular ones. We asked to be let out of our lease and Adam would not allow it. We spent hundreds of dollars on plastic tubs to seal all of our belongings so roaches couldn’t get in them. After two weeks, we had enough and stayed in a hotel to finish out our lease. We are now out thousands of dollars after paying a month for roaches and for a hotel. Adam offered us another unit, but we saw roaches when we looked it at. We also had zero energy to deep clean another one of his units again. Even if it would’ve been perfect, the walk was too far for my husband to get to and from the car for after his massive surgery, so it wouldn’t have worked out. After reading through Air bnb reviews, we realize we aren’t the only ones who have been deceived and treated this way. It’s really disheartening to see a company treat people like this. Especially families who are already far from home and going through massive life changes due to cancer. He started this business after a family member had cancer and he saw the need, but clearly has lost sight of the mission. I debated leaving a review or not, but I cannot let this happen to other medical families. The amount of stress this has added to our lives is not even something I can put into words. They were supposed to be doing a heavy roach treatment after we moved out, so hopefully that will help with that issue."

"We chose Nations Corporate Housing, initially because of the proximity to the Medical Center, allowing us to walk there daily and because it allowed pets. Our apartment was located in a gated community and was convenient driving or walking distance to Kroger’s or the Kolache factory, as well as many other places. The apartment was well furnished with a well stocked kitchen and upkept pretty good considering it’s age. There were a few hiccups initially with packages being delivered but Nations staff resolved it quickly. They were attentive and helpful with all of our requests. We would definitely use them again!"

"We were in Houston during my husband’s treatment at the MdAnderson Cancer Care Center. We stayed in the Domain At Kirby Apartments. Communication was easily accessible through Adam. The apartment was clean, spacious, nicely furnished and offered extra amenities. (Nice to have your own washer and dryer) It was so convenient to the hospital only a few minutes away. We would stay the there again if need be."
