"Love this property! Gorgeous, you can tell they care about the property. I actually toured with the property manager Emily. She was so kind. We laughed about having the same last name. She not only showed me around the property, she also told me about the neighbor hood. Excited to lease and move here."
"I just recently moved in and i’m so excited to call this my new home! There are so many amenities, it’s located in a great location close to walking paths, restaurants and bars. The apartment itself was clean and perfect! What sealed the deal for me was the manager, Emily! She was so patient and kind through this whole process!"
"My time here was short and let me tell you why (10/27/23-11/3/23). Emily and Citally treated me with such disrespect, they mistook my age (23) for someone who is unable to withhold the standard of the community, but I have stayed in far more luxury apartments. I only resorted in living there because I wanted to save money. When I applied on Oct 24th, I was called the next day to be told that I was conditionally approved and they were waiting on rental verification from my previous apartment and I had an unpaid utility bill. I made the payment for that utility bill on Oct 25th and I was persistent in keeping the office staff up to date because I was very eager on moving in. Upon trying to obtain a receipt from the debt collector, I was having issues in receiving that, so I was communicating with Citally on what other documentation would be sufficient. On Oct 27th, I had received a screen grab from the debt collector that the debt had been paid and I forwarded that email to Citally in the morning. It seemed as though they weren't interested in speaking with me, so my mother called around 5pm to figure out what the issue was because at the time I was staying in hotel rooms and we wanted to know if we needed to book another room. From that phone call, Emily told my mother that the apartment was ready, but I had to hurry because the office closed at 6pm and on top of that I had to schedule electric, but they wouldn't set it up same day because it was after 5pm. My mother and I found that as an inconvenience because they could've easily rescheduled my move-in date. When I arrived to the office, it seemed as though they weren't even ready because my mailbox key, garage opener and house key weren't ready to be given. I had only received the house key on Oct 27th. While signing the lease, my mother said over the phone "are they not going to do a walkthrough with you?" and Citally responded and said "they did a walkthrough and its good to go". We took her word for it because for her to be the Assistant Manager of the property, she is more knowledgeable on the conditions of the unit. When I walked into the unit, the damages were horrifying, in some areas the wall wasn't connected to the floor. See images attached. According to TX housing law, every unit should be turned over and the landlord must provide a safe and habitual premise for their tenant, in which they violated. My major problem was the broken window in the bedroom, as a single woman occupying the unit that was terrifying. The bedroom window faced the parking garage, so residents could vividly see the broken window. The holes in the wall equate to pests and at my previous dwellings, I didn't encounter none of what I had experienced with The Fitz. For it to be considered "newly renovated", it definitely did not uphold that standard. When I spoke with Emily about my concerns she said verbatim "you're on the second floor, I doubt anyone will, but I understand". Her statement made me feel internally frightened because as the property manager why would you make such of a comment? Upon Emily requesting to see the damages of the unit, the direction she took towards the apartment was alarming, considering I told her exactly where the issue was. When we got into my apartment, she took pictures of some of the damages, but not all. The carpet in the bedroom was far too thick, which is a safety hazard because you had to drag the door just for it to close. It was comical on how she said that someone would come replace the window and she was going to place the work order on 10/30 and someone would come on 11/1, but no one ever showed up. Another comment that Emily made to me when I was explaining my frustrations with the unit, for verbatim "we didn't think you would be moving in". I was persistent in getting information for them, so it puzzled me as to why they would think such of that. Emily treated me with such disrespect and I don't appreciate being treated in such manner even though I did not approach her with any hostility."
"I am a fairly new resident at the Fitz, however my stay here has been wonderful so far. Lolly and the Manager, Emily Lewis, made my move in transition so easy! Maintenance is very quick to respond and on top of their orders. The complex is very clean and everyone at the front office is very sweet. Rachel White, Apartment Life Coordinator, also does a great job planning community events. :) Lastly, you cannot beat this location! Walkable community, great location for foodies, metro bus stop nearby, med center is only 15 minutes away, and an HEB less than a mile away."
"I lived here for a year & recently moved out. I enjoyed my stay at the Fitz. Maintenance responded very timely & property was maintained nicely. However, there are VERY limited guest parking spots, only approximately 12 visitor parking spots in front of the leasing office, if you like to host others, I would keep that in mind."
