Commonwealth Apartments

"I've lived here for about 2 years now, and have nothing but good things to say about Marc and his Commonwealth property. The studios are nicy upgraded with modern fixtures. The location is AWESOME, and the neighborhood is quiet and safe. Marc is a great guy, incredibly patient, and you can tell he puts a lot of work into his properties. I had an issue with another tenant, and Marc allowed me to move into another recently renovated unit. He even sent one of his maintenance guys to help me move my things from my old unit, to the new one. Lastly, I dont have any issues with roaches. I spray Bengal once a month, and keep my kitchen extremely clean. That along with the bi-monthly boric acid pest conteol, keeps my unit completely roach free. I never have roaches in my apartment...ever. I haven't stayed at any of Marc's other properties, but judging from my Commonwealrh experience...I'd recommend them to anyone looking for affordable yet well-maintained apartments in Montrose."

"I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a quaint home in one of the best neighborhoods in Houston. Security is great and so is maintenance response time. The landlord is very personable and reliable. He was always available when needed and took the time to ensure my experience living here was the best. I appreciated management's ability to communicate clearly on expectations, changes, and special occurrences like routine exterminations and smoke detector checks. My unit had been updated with nice appliances and closet build outs. It was the perfect place for me. Cool neighborhood and great community."

"I can backup what Ben said. It has been a long time, but I also lived in this hell hole for two years. I had my clothes jacked out of the washing machine twice. There was 4 or 5 crackheads living in the same unit, being fed by some old chicken hawk. There was frequent drama. The walls are paper thin so you could hear everything. The roaches were legendary and never went away no matter how many traps I set. If things broke, they got repaired slowly and were usually only fixed halfway. The repairman/staff were definitely in and out of my unit without any notice whatsoever. Lastly, I did not get my deposit back and I left that place exactly like I found it. Actually better than I found it. Im a clean freak and I scrubbed that place floor to ceiling. If I were you, I would only move in here because there is nothing else vacant and you need a place last resort. Chances are though, you can find something nicer, safer, and cheaper."
