"They’re FRAUD. I’ve never heard paying the security deposit with the app fee together. They then keep the security deposit if something with your background doesn’t seem fit to them. They stated we falsified our employment but they never (well she/Denise) spoke with my employer (and my employer stated that no one spoke with him from CANTEBURY CT and that whomever/Denise said that lied) She told us 3 different stories and none matched. I’m okay with not being fit/approved for this apartment, but you took money and didn’t do your job. We’re being called a fraud but this Apartment is the fraud!"

"Roaches live here but don't help pay the high rent being charged. I come home to a roach party in my kitchen everyday ! I'm at work when they come spray but half the time a note isn't left. It's unprofessional and unsettling to know someone was in my apartment without making me aware. The neighbors are friendly and it feels safe until you hear gunshots at 2am. The last tenant never put in a change of address and I've wrote "return to sender" on the mail I receive everyday. Have even taken it to management, it won't stop. The roof leaks and a damp spot turned into black mold which I've taken pics of for my own evidence (duh!) Maintenance came and spray painted over it lol ! I'm over it, wouldn't recommend moving here."

"If you like being over charged, appreciate a home that's infested with roaches and poor maintenance/management, this is the place for you. If not, then I would stay far away from Canterbury Court Apartments. I lived here for a year and despite spraying for bugs on a weekly basis myself and placing roach traps all over my apartment, I would still turn on the kitchen light in the middle of the night and see several roaches scatter. I kept my kitchen immaculate, but it didn't matter. When I applied for a lease, I was told one price for the rent. After my application was approved, for whatever reason the rent and deposit amount went up significantly. Despite being a model tennant, I was still harassed by management about how I kept my patio or that I couldn't have a grill. Apparently I missed that in the lease agreement, if it was even in there. When I moved out, I cleaned my apartment from top to bottom until it was spotless. Nonetheless, they still found something to charge me for and deduct from my deposit refund. They even charged a fee for taking pictures for documentation purposes, yet they could never produce the photos when I asked to see them! The office staff and maintenance staff are both rude and inattentive. On several occasions I went to speak to someone in the office and had to wait for them to finish a clearly personal phone call. The property is not maintained well and the dumpsters always had trash on the ground around them. I would never rent here again or recommend it to anyone."
