Reviews of The Junction Eating Place
"Great place to eat. Stopped here for breakfast while in the area. Good food, fantastic service. Waitress was really nice. You get good portions too"
"We had breakfast and the food was delicious. My husband had steak and eggs, and I had eggs, potatoes and bacon. Everything was well-seasoned and cooked correctly. Our waitress was polite but fun and clearly a pro. Definitely a place we will visit again when we are in the area."
"Reliable family diner style restaurant. The food comes fast and the service is friendly. Large selection on the menu. Most recently, I had the Greek Chicken Kabob Salad (a special), which came with pitas and a cup of soup. I had the navy bean soup, which was a little salty, but warm and tasty on a cold day. The salad was huge and the chicken on the salad was tender. It was pretty good and I had enough for leftovers. The one disappointment was that the description for the salad said it had cucumber and red onion (as well as feta, tomato and olives), but it came out with lots of white onion and no cucumber. I'm sure if I had said something, they probably would have fixed it, but I was in a hurry to get back to work."
"Stopped here for breakfast before NIUs STEM Fest. Thought the prices were okay for a college town (used to my small town prices, though). The inside was super cute. It was clean, including the bathroom. The staff was friendly. The waiter was on top of refills for coffee & water. The pancakes were your average family restaurant pancakes. Both of my boys ate very well, they can be picky, so that says a lot! The train that goes around part of the building kept my wild 8 year occupied for a bit. I noticed they had coloring pages and crayons, but they were never offered to us. I didn't see them until I paid. They charge a small fee for paying w a card, but didn't tell me; I noticed it on the screen. We would definitely go back while in Dekalb."
"Great service and tasty food. Ambience is Mom and Pop which is ok. I would rather they invest into their people and food. Will try again."
