"RECONSIDER LIVING HERE IF INTERESTED!! NOT GOOD I don't usually write reviews, but this place has given me such a bad experience that I wanted to warn others who are interested. The units are very poorly maintained with poor and old infrastructure. They have painted the exteriors and "renovated" the floors to give the apartment a more modern and new look although all the kitchenware and appliances are still old and dirty. This is very deceiving because there are so many problems within the units that you won't see until you live in it. In my experience, I have dealt with so many problems that were not able to be fixed due to poor infrastructure and how old the buildings were. My window in my room would always leak EVERYTIME it rained, and I tried multiple times to get maintenance to fix it. They always came and said it would be fixed or caulked from the inside and outside, but it was never fixed. This is due to the poor window seal and infrastructure surrounding it. They just wanted to try to caulk in a poor foundation and hope it fixed but it never fix the leak that filled my room with water. The apartment I lived in had a water leakage issue from the AC Vent. Despite numerous complaints, maintenance would come and "clean" it out and it would keep leaking. This was such a burden because there was water everywhere in my kitchen. I lived on the 2nd floor right by the pool and gym and the walls are NOT sound proof. You can hear everybody outside and hear all the water splashing and people playing outside. I could write an essay about other problems about this apartment but it would go on and on and on. Management here used to be amazing with Perla, but a new manager came and it seems like she does not care about her tenants at all. When I come to talk about any situation, she always seems to push it away and say she will "talk" to her supervisor. I could never get a hold of her and get a definite answer about anything regarding rent or my security deposit. When I moved out, they decided to charge me so many fees to cancel out my deposit in order to not give me any of my deposit back. I've tried many times to get transparency about the breakdown of my charges, but every time it is ignored or not answered fully. I even tried talking to the supervisor and she never gets back or is "never available". They keep avoiding everything and it seems like they are just taking my money and won't justify my charges. They have added so many additional charges such as trash valet, parking, and other charges that are just there to take your money. The only pros is that the place is conveniently located close to the Texas Medical Center and grocery stores nearby. The place is also in an area that is not too shady, it was pretty quiet and safe throughout my year there. There are better apartments around that have better prices, amenities, and management."
