"We moved in a few months ago and our experience has gone well beyond our expectations. Everything has been wonderful here. The location, the residents, the environment has all been excellent. Above all else, however, is the property manager Rachel. She has gone out of her way to make our experience perfect. She responds to our concerns with empathy and haste. She always smiles and greets us when our paths cross and is, day in an day out, working hard to make sure her residents are happy. I have never had a better experience with a property and its staff than I have with Marquee Uptown and Rachel. It's a great place to live!"
"As the property Manager I would like to address some of the negative reviews we've had. I think it's important to put comments in perspective. For Lena (not the name she used here) who thought I dismissed the three gentlemen out of hand because I pointed to the exit...They were looking for the exit and were trying to find it. They were movers. As for her rental search, I was trying to be helpful in keeping Lena in her price range, which was the reason, I do not live here yet myself. For Kay. (possibly not her name) I do not believe you lived here. This is a small community, and we know everyone who has lived here. For whatever reason you have for making your claim, many of our residents enjoy living here and continue to reside here. Our average tenancy is 3-5 years. In this small community of 98 apartments12% of our residents have lived here for more than 9 years. I think we must be doing something right. For Alex, I'm sorry honey, but everyone must pay out their lease agreement. Leaving a month early is fine as long as you pay for it. Also, the apartment must be clean. We enjoyed having you both here. Audrey, I'm so happy we worked out your issues and you renewed your lease We are so happy to have you staying here. For Shavon Moody...I'm afraid I don't know who you are and when I ever spoken to you or dealt with you. You are not a resident here and we don't have a record of your visit. I'm sorry that you feel this way about me, and possibly someone told you to write this. In any case, please come and meet me in person to make any further judgements. You will see that I am not what you have said I am. Most of our residents enjoy living here, from young, to not so young, male, female, all colors, all creeds, all nationalities and all sexual preferences. Families, singles, couples and even pets. We welcome all to live here. I hope to move here soon myself. I do know what it's like to live in a property that is not well kept. It's maddening. This is why I do my best for my residents and apply the golden rule. Treat all residents how you expect and want to be treated. I am also a renter. With that. I will continue to strive to serve my residents with the excellence they deserve."
"This property is amazing! The apartments are a bit old but the place is also not a new build. However, they do a wonderful job with the landscaping of the property and the aesthetics are beautiful. Rachel who’s the property manager does a wonderful job with maintaining the property and follows through on everything. I had a family member move from NY and rented an apartment here until she found her forever home in #Houston and Rachel was very kind and accommodating. The pool area and Cabana we’re beautiful and the property was well kept. The laundry room was clean and cost $0.01 to wash your clothes. Amazing place so if your looking to rent in the prestigious Galleria area 2 minute walk from the mall), contact Rachel. Stay Alert & Be Safe! #SABS #CssOne"
"I lived on the Carriage Square-side of the complex twice, from June 2012 to October 2013, and again when I returned to the area from March 2016 to June 2017. I came back when I repatriated because I just loved it there. I've lived in a variety of different apartments in Houston and elsewhere, and I can say that I have never been treated so fairly as I have while at this complex. A common gripe of apartment dwellers is the frustration in dealing with the office staff at their complex. When dealing with the Marquee, I have NEVER had an issue that wasn't resolved promptly. I've heard multiple complaints about the seemingly curmudgeonly owner who gets on your case about everything. He may be exacting, but he's also the guy outside checking and tending to the landscaping and verifying that the awnings are cleaned properly to ensure that the place looks just incredible. The building is older, but that's part of the charm, and the care with which the building is tended makes this generally a non-issue. It is a lovely experience to walk into and out of the complex everyday. And how can you beat the location!? When the traffic gets bad, I just left the car and walked to the Galleria, to Nordstrom Rack, even to Kenny and Ziggy's when the spirit moved me! Now, I should state that I do have one major pet peeve- parking. The parking spaces on the opposite side away from the building are just too tiny to fit most cars comfortably. It would be better to allow less cars in and only park one car on the opposite side, or have every other opening with one car so that people can get into and out of the cars comfortably. Street parking is pretty safe too, just not overly plentiful! Still, if you're looking anywhere remotely near the Galleria, you'd be a fool not to at least seriously consider the Marquee. I'd still be there myself if it was an option!"
