"I have coming to this office for almost 4 years and I love everything about it. Dr Shah is great he is always and very attentive to the kids’ needs"
"The nurse practitioner is great, but not a single other thing about my experience with this clinic has been positive. They do not return phone calls left on the nurse’s line, the nurses are very hit or miss, they reschedule appointments on you last minute, and I took my daughter for her follow up flu shot and it wasn’t until we had waited 30 minutes in the lobby, gone to the back room, and gotten her undressed and weighed, before they told me they didn’t actually have any available flu vaccines at that location."
"Stay far away from this place! The Doctors are amazing like Dr. Pionawala and Dr. Thomas but the front office personnel especially the front office manager is so rude, condescending, and has no empathy whatsoever. The first major issue I had was when I went to take in my sick daughter who was having a high fever and vomiting, the front office manager told me I had a balance of $80 from last time and $105 for this time. I was so confused as the last visit was a yearly checkup which is completely covered by the insurance. She did explain it to me that it’s due to me having a consultation about my daughter’s allergy and Dr. Thomas calling in Zyrtec to control my child’s allergy. I said even with that, I don’t understand why the visit is so high? She immediately replied in the most degrading, ruthless manner that, if I don’t pay the full amount, I will not be able to see the Pediatrician. If it were her child, would she be okay with such treatment? I decided to call the insurance company and found out that my secondary insurance was not added which another front personal took care of. There was no apology from the front office manager. I still decided to stay with this office because Dr. Thomas is so kind and knows my daughter’s medical history and has been taking care of her for the past 4 years! Sadly, Dr. Thomas don’t work there no more but Dr. Poonawala for the 2920 location is equally kind and very knowledgeable so, we decided to go to the 2920 location. Dr. Poonawala treated my daughter for possible strep and wrote in antibiotics and said if she doesn’t feel fully better by Wednesday, call the front office for an extension for the doctors note but if she is not better by Thursday, come in for further evaluation. (My daughter tested negative for both strep and flu but since her tonsils were very red and inflamed, Dr. Poonawala wrote a prescription for antibiotics). Well, Wednesday came and my daughter ended up with diarrhea from the antibiotics as that has happened in the past due to her ongoing GI issues and because antibiotics kill both good and bad bacteria. I know to give probiotics and electrolytic drinks like Gatorade to control the diarrhea. This is where the front office failed miserably. When I messaged, Dr. Poonawala, I got a reply from one of the Nurses saying, Dr. Poonawala said having diarrhea is not a reason for me to keep my daughter from going to school. I know for a fact that Dr. Pooniwala will never tell a parent what’s a reason for a child to stay home. I replied via the portal that Dr. Pooniwala can look at my daughter’s medical history to see why having diarrhea is a valid reason for my daughter to stay home. I was thinking it could be a possible misunderstanding but then, the front office lady, most likely the front office manager called me saying, Dr. Pooniwala cannot write me a doctor’s note and if needed, I can bring her in to treat the diarrhea. I really wished the Doctor or the Nurses would have called me! I told the front office manager that, I know for a fact that Dr. Pooniwala will never say that, my reason for my daughter to stay home due to having diarrhea is not valid and whoever who said that is very uneducated to make a statement like that! Immediately, the front office manager used that as an opportunity to be condescending saying, “you think the nurse is uneducated so, I will let her know that! Since she is so uneducated, I will tell another nurse to message you back.” I am like, no! Don’t twist my words! My point was it’s an uneducated statement to make to a parent that, the Doctor believed that having diarrhea is not a reason for a parent to have the child stay home. She was using an opportunity to be thuggish towards me and argue for no reason whatsoever! Don’t ever dictate what I the parent believe is a reason for a child to stay home! I know no Doctors or Nurses would ever say that! The front office is the most rudest staff I ever met in my life!"
"Terrible clinic. I went through hell switching my providers for all my children to miss my appointment because my car broke down called next day to do a reschedule. Mind you these appointments are to put my young child back in school and my oldest sports physical for basketball and she refused to let me reschedule for 30 days out . Literly told me to change providers and she wasn't giving me anytingsoner. This girls name is susannna and she was extremity unprofessional I told her how important these apointments were she wanted to start talkin about apointments i miseed years ago and was extreamly rude. If I can't get above her head I will change providers AGAIN. But her making my son miss basketball season and m other school in general she's a terribl nurse and doesn't deserve that job. This is the 2920 location"
"WARNING ! Does not care about children only the $$$$. You are only allowed 1 diagnosis per visit. This place cost me $200 dollars for annual well child visit with insurance. They charged to order the labs and then they charged me again to read the results.. what has this world come to. Since my daughter needed bloodwork the request to get a referal for a counselor was not filled and I was told I would have to pay another copay and take another day off work to bring her in. Look anywhere else but here for your childs care needs."
