Johnny's Italian Steakhouse

"First off, I ordered white wine to go with my late lunch, of French Onion soup, scallops with mixed veggies. My friend and I were pretty much the only customers in the bar area. The service was slow, although our server was very nice and accommodating. The wine was smelled sour and the taste was bitter. Like an old bottle of wine! They did open a new bottle for me. The French onion soup, tiny little cup, was blah and had a sweet taste. Not great! Then came the scallops, 3 little ones that they explained was because it was an appetizers. They were bad, bitter! Not the yummy, buttery goodness scallops should be! Oh, man , I felt so bad, 2 bad things wrong with my meal, I felt like a shrew! But I couldn't eat and pay for bad food! Our server did accommodate me when I ordered a steak instead, which was fine. So they made it right! But this is supposed to be an upscale restaurant! What's the deal? Very disappointed! Will think twice about coming again! My friend said the bathroom stalls were filthy and they were!!! Isn't this restaurant affiliated with John Deer? Such a shame! Needs updating, and who in the generations coming up are going to have a clue as to who the Rat Pack is or care?"

"We went to celebrate valentine's day. Our waitress was phenomenal. My husband's dinner, salads, bread, and our desserts were all delicious. My beef wellington was over cooked (very easy to do). She quickly fixed the issue and the 2nd was perfect and I cut it with my fork. The Manager & even the hostess came by the table an apologized. An our bill was comped appropriately. We had a wonderful time and will 100% be back."

"I went a few weeks ago for an anniversary dinner. The waiter was nice, the martini was delicious, but the food was lackluster. I ended up getting a Cesar Salad, Beef Wellington, and Garlic Mashed Potatoes. While the salad and wellington were just alright, the garlic mashed potatoes felt dried out like they had been sitting out for a while. For upscale dinning I was expecting more."

"Please don't take this review as not having a good experience but... I feel the few fine dining restaurants in the QC need to be held to a high standard. Everything was very good maybe even great but nothing was fantastic. It's not going up too high on my list of places to visit again."

"The food was pretty good. A bit salty. My boyfriend ordered the Parmesan crusted strip steak…not sure what it was actually crusted with but it was huge and cooked just right. My steak was ok. It says it came topped with a crab cake but it was barely a topping at all. Presentation for both was lacking. Martinis were very sweet and not strong. Drinks 5/10, food 6/10 based on price. The menus were dirty. Floors dirty. Booths dirty. Whole restaurant smelled like an old wet rag. The restaurant was 90% empty for the “earliest” reservation of 8:15. There was no music or anything playing. Ambiance 1/10. Service was 3/10. It took 15+ minutes for a server to come by and another 10 for drinks to be served. She was then very short with and very loud. She didn’t even use a check holder to give us the bill. Just folded up the tiny slip and left it on the table. Not what you would expect at a steak place. Would not recommend."
