"CHAZ DAWSOM IS A SCAM ARTIST!!!! I was leasing with him for 6 months before I started to receive letters of non payment from the leasing office. I would pay him through a website and he assured me he was using that money to pay the leasing office. After 4 months I received an eviction letter. The manager told me Chaz had used 15 different cards in 3 months and was being flagged by their corporate office for credit card fraud. I had to vacate the promise, and so did my best friend Daniel who had an apartment right next door to me, through Chaz as well. Two weeks later Daniel was murdered and I KNOW Chaz was involved. STAY AWAY FROM THIS MAN."

"Chaz Dawson is a SCAM ARTIST! Do not do business with Chaz Dawson. Brandon Marbley introduced me to Chaz Dawson in October of (2022) this year regarding becoming an air BnB owner. We agreed he would handle anything that needed to be done in person as I do not live in Houston, TX. Chaz initially seemed like a legitimate businessman. He provides me with a leasing agreement only from leasing Houston an apartment rental company. I rented a unit from Htx Leasing LLC. He assured me that I would begin receiving profits within the month, he was contacting me daily sometimes multiple times a day to pay for furniture and various items he said I needed for the place to be listed. About $7,000 later I’m not able to access my listing via the air BnB portal, he is barely returning my calls or text. When we did speak he would tell me things were slow. Chaz was able to see my Air bnb listing but I could not due to an issue with air BnB (very shady). Chaz assured me in the beginning that if at any time I wanted out I could walk away and he would refund my money. After a month of scattered communication virtually no bookings so Chaz says, November I asked to let go of the property and a refund of my investment. Chaz again assured me this would not be an issue. We are at the end of December and I have not received any of my funds back. As of December 15th, I had not received my security deposit back and was being threatened to have my credit impacted if I did not pay the Unpaid rent for December. I have asked to get access to the property to have the furniture I paid for removed and no one was answering my calls and I did not have the unit code to access the property. It was not until I involved Kathi Echols the leasing manager that I was able to get results. Kathi was beneficial in the beginning, it was when I began to talk about obtaining a lawyer that she began to distance herself from the situation. She informed me that Chaz was not being honest as they do not report to the credit bureau and I could simply surrender the unit and she would have someone else take over the lease. She also informed me that Chaz wasn’t returning her calls and also lying to her. He never informed her of any of my concerns or told her that I no longer wanted the unit. Chaz has lied to the leasing agent stating, i’m under contract with him, which I am not. I found out that he had me pay for things that are not associated with the property or this business venture at all. He is a con artist and I would like a refund for everything that I have paid for! Do not do business with Chaz Dawson of Lease Variety LLC or Kathi Echols or Htx Leasing LLC. These companies are scammers!"
