Reviews of The Atlantic Memorial
"The environment used to be really quiet and peaceful. Until a woman moved in with all those children, and just lets them run rampant. They are outside in supervised, and I get it kids will be kids. BUT to let your children, mind you in your presence, leave their toys and shoes in the fountain and around the public area that is used by all residents like this is the ghetto, is mind boggling. I have witnessed children speed by on electric scooter near our elderly neighbors while they were walking their dog. The children have no care for others safety or their own and the parents are just as negligent. they will reach into your porch to touch your pets and items that could cause them injury, that’s a liability. Children should not be left unsupervised without home training, and the parents should teach their children how to clean up after themselves, the poor maintenance men had to clean up the large mess that was left outside. This is ruining what was once a peaceful and joyful property. And there’s cockroaches that get into your apartment due to poor sealing of cracks."
"I think it’s important to know the good and bad of a complex before moving in. For those who are looking into moving to this complex, I highly recommend. Here is my in depth review that can hopefully be insightful: I have lived at this complex on two separate occasions - when I first moved out to Houston and again almost 2 years ago and am still a resident today. Obviously, I had such a wonderful experience the first time, I had to come back when I was looking for a home closer to work! This complex is truly wonderful. I moved into a Brogden unit a year and a half ago, and although a little on the smaller size, it was perfect for just me and my cat. Recently, my fiance and I moved into a Stoneleigh unit (2 bed/2 bath) which doubled our living space. Over the past year or so, the complex has been updating the units with beautiful white countertops in the kitchen and bathrooms, along with a large farmhouse style sink. Although the previous countertops were beautiful, this upgrade was major and added so much elegance to the apartment. I will say, the Brogden unit I was in, the balcony faced the parking garage of the oil and gas company next door and wasn’t the most visually appealing, but was never an issue. That side of the complex was still quiet and felt decently private. The Stoneleigh we live in now has a beautiful view that on looks one of the courtyards. One down side, if you want to call it that, there are at least 3 light switches that I am still stumped on what their purpose is. The complex is fairly quiet, but every once in a while there will be residents who are a little rowdy. However, we do have quiet hours from 10 pm until 8 am, and if there are any neighbors disturbing the peace, there is a courtesy officer onsite that takes calls and will stop by to quiet down the party. The parking garage is a nice amenity here, it keeps you from having to carry groceries up flights of stairs and keeps you away from the elements of the weather. The visitor parking is very simple and I’ve never come across a problem with guests not being able to find a parking spot. The very top of the garage is also wonderful for a sunset photoshoot, or just a place to go sit and look at the sky. You do have to be careful in the garage though, some residents don’t take the speed limit seriously and round the corners extremely fast. The office staff does their best to enforce the speed limit, but they can’t be there to watch every vehicle. The garage is also where the trash chutes are located (one on each end of every floor). This complex doesn’t have trash valet so you have to take your garbage to the chutes, which is simple and we’ve only experienced one time where the chutes overfilled, however, it was fixed and emptied promptly. The mailroom has convenient package lockers that keep your packages safe until you’re able to pick them up (they hold your package for up to around 5 days). If the package lockers are full, or your package is too big to fit, it will get brought to your door. There was only one instance where I was out of town for the holidays and an Amazon package was taken from my door. I want to say, I have never dealt with better apartment staff than here at Atlantic Memorial. Brad is a wonderful office assistant manager! He is extremely knowledgeable and helpful with everything I’ve thrown at him. Maintenance has always been quick and efficient whenever we have put in requests, too. The complex brings in local food trucks every once in a while for residents to come down outside the lobby and order food, and they occasionally have community events with free food, drinks, and games. It’s a great place to meet neighbors if you’re new to the area or just looking to socialize. Overall, this is a great place to live! There are a few areas that can be improved, but knowing this staff, they’re already looking into new ways to enhance the property."
"I can't share enough about the positive experiences I had living at The Atlantic Memorial. The staff was extremely responsive to all my needs (some reasonable, and some not so much). I enjoyed my time living there. When I experienced an issue, it was handled quickly and professionally. Nothing was ever overpromised or over delivered. If the situation arises to where I need to look for a place to hang my hat, I wouldn't hesitate, in the least in looking to them for residency. Extra love goes to Brad and also to the maintenance staff. They also had tremendous references in regards to ancillary support regarding cleaning services, etc..."
