"We have been incredibly impressed with everyone on the wonderful staff at Texas Children’s Pediatrics Lakewood. Everyone is friendly and lovely. In the years we’ve been going, I’ve never seen anyone seeming rushed and never a frown, even during the pandemic! Our son has a rare blood histamine disease and a couple of benign physical anomalies so when we moved to this area, I was quite concerned about finding a great, well informed physician. We’ve been seeing Dr. Sunjeev Patel for a few years now and I have every confidence in him. Not only is he impressively knowledgeable, but his bedside manner with our son keeps him calm and feeling well looked after. We are so very grateful to have found such a competent, thorough, invested, kind and patient doctor for our son. His regular nurse is kind and fun and other nurses we’ve had on occasion have been lovely as well. Having a good pediatrician is of the utmost importance and we are incredibly grateful!!"

"I have been taking my kids here for over 10 years and we have always loved the doctors but it is nearly impossible to get an appointment for a sick kid. Everytime she is sick they tell me they have an available appt in 5+ days. I need something in less then 48 hours. They are going to lose so many patients that have been with them for years because they cant ever seem to work in sick kids."

"Dr. Nguyen was very nice and patient. She took the time to listen to our concerns that we were having with our kid! The only thing I dislike is that, my kid had the same Dr for about 2 years then she took another position within the company and we had to get acquainted with a new Dr which is Dr. Nguyen. She is totally professional and helpful. I guess that's what happens when you go to a huge medical chain vs a independent type pediatrics office. She was great though, I hope she doesn't leave soon."

"The Drs here seem fine but good luck getting in to see your Pediatrician. If your kid is sick, you wont be able to get an appt any time soon, so you will end up taking them to urgent care. They seem to be very understaffed and trying to reach anyone on the phone is a nightmare. When I call I usually wait on hold until the line is just disconnected. I called asking to get my kid a flu shot in early October and they told be the earliest appt I could come in was in December - for a flu shot that takes less than 10 minutes."
