"When my mother first moved to her apartment at Magnolia Trails, this was a very well managed complex & a wonderful place to live. Over the past 2 years we’ve heard ‘ sorry, for the inconvenience’ just a little too often. The elevator is very unreliable. It has been out of service several times & has taken anywhere from days to weeks to fix. The residents of this complex are either elderly or handicapped & having the only only elevator out of service is not just an inconvenience. It means the resident is confined to the floor they live on without leaving, walking pets, or taking out the trash. Our current problem is the inconvenience of not being able to use her clothes dryer. We called an appliance repairman who showed us the lint built up as far as he could reach in the outside wall. My mother doesn’t remember if the dryer vents have been ever vacuumed out & professionally cleaned. The appliance repairman advised her not to use the dryer as it is a severe fire hazard. At the age of 86, trying to haul laundry downstairs to the laundromat is so much more than an inconvenience. We are not only concerned about her dryer vent but the safety of all of the apartments. Teresa, the property manager, is very sweet & seems concerned which leads me to believe it is the owners of the building who only care about profit & care nothing about the well being of the residents."
