I love doing business locally but I am not about to accept bad service or complete lack of transparency. Not cool"

"My husband called to see when they closed and said he needed mulch. We got there and I went in to pay for the mulch. Three male employees were standing at the registers. When I told them what I wanted one of them made a big deal of looking at his watch and told me I was pushing it. This caught the attention of another customer who wondered why he said that. He told me twice that they were closing in 6 minutes. 6 minutes. We got our mulch and pulled out at 5:59 as he was locking up. I could have spent my $100 elsewhere, and probably will from now on,"

"Off the beaten path if you’re not from Bago, but worth the 20 minute drive for the customer service. I took the screen insert from my storm door out to be repaired. Irv at the hardware desk took great care of me, from start to finish. Very friendly and above and beyond service. The cost was very reasonable. Good luck getting anything close to this at a Big Box Store, or anywhere in Rockford. I’ll refer anyone to Sullivans Ace in Winnebago."
