"We visit the Bargain Nook in Darlington annually on Mothers Day. The whole family always finds lots of quality clothing at fantastic prices. Shawn at the Nook is knowledgeable, fun, kind and a an all around great ambassador for Darlington. Sometimes people post reviews about their experience or opinion not having an understanding of what the thrift stores mission is and how they serve their community. That said, Bargains Nooks are more than a thrift store with Lands End returned merchandise at a great price. Did you know Bargain Nooks are affiliated with Hodan Community Services? A Community Rehabilitation Program which provides work services, food services, senior day services and enrichment activities and training and employment opportunities for people with disabilities in Iowa, Lafayette, and Grant counties. They provide Adult Basic Education for Computer Skills, Math Skills, Reading Skills, Writing Skills, and Social Skills and job training. Hodan Community Services operates five resale/retail stores in five different counties. My family has shopped Nooks for 25 years. So what are you waiting for? "I needed a suit in a pinch for a funeral and I was dreading the process. Shawn had me fit in a matter of minutes! He even helped me pick out the accessories I'd need. I really felt like I was at a fine suit shop. The price was so reasonable and the store was very clean. I highly recommend shopping here! This was, hands down, the best suit shopping experience I've ever had. Because of Shawn's professionalism and knowledge I was sure he was the owner... I was wrong. Obviously bargain nook takes great care of their employees, and as a consequence they take great care of their customers!"

"Should be called the Lands’ End reject store. Literally 99% of their product is all lands end. Rejected product they’ll couldn’t retail in the official store. This is not a thrift store that sells secondhand clothing. I don’t for see them continuing to stay in business if they advertise themselves as having name brand and vintage clothes. Very very disappointed and I won’t be back!"
