"I would give 0 stars if possible. My daughters have been patients for about a year, we switched to Acorn when our pediatrician retired. The doctors at Acorn Pediatrics are extremely judgmental if you don’t agree with them and they NEVER want to prescribe anything to help my daughter get better. It’s always “we have to let this run its course”. All they are good for is collecting a copay and recommending children’s claritin. My daughter will be sick for WEEKS and the doctors here to nothing to help my daughter get better. Would not recommend to anyone."
"I don't kmow why there are reviews saying that doctor borland is rude or doesn't care about her patients, that is totally false. Me and my wife love Dr. Borland she has helped us in great ways with our firstborn to her experience and advice as a mother she is wonderful."
"We were dropped unceremoniously because we did not follow their vaccination schedule. Left without access to a doctor and our second born has chronic bronchial issues --- until we find another pediatrician we are left with Little Spurs, to which my wife is headed right now. Very frustrating that doctors would put compliance with a vaccination schedule over providing basic care for children. Infuriating and incomprehensible to me, actually."
"We’ve had a mixed experience after one year. If you want a place that values medical freedom and informed consent, this is NOT your pediatrician. If you never have questions and just want someone quick and easy to contact/see, then this place is perfect for you. Pros: (1) Oncall doctors 24 hours a day/7 days a week, (2) Easy/Quick to make an appointment. Cons: (1)Impatient when/if you have questions/concerns (the doctor became visibly irritated during my son’s 4 month appt when I was hesitant about v@ccinating him after he had just got over having a fever of 104). (2)Does not allow for delayed v@ccination schedule. Overall my experience hasn’t been bad. We’ve just come the point where we’ve realized that our values don’t align with the values of this practice. I’ve tried to be a fair as possible in my review and hope that it’s helpful for parents who may be considering this practice."
"Doctors are great. The front desk (your 1st impression) workers have zero empathy while you’re trying to check in. They demanded payment upfront for some reason instead of settling after the visit, like we’ve done many times before. We weren’t told that a follow would require payment beforehand (which we would have gladly prepared for) but my wife had our HSA card and I couldn’t pay immediately. I realllllllly wish the front desk was better bc I want to stay with these amazing doctors. They make me feel Like I’m running some sort of ruse to visit pediatricians and never pay them? After multiple visits and multiple disappointments from their customer service front desk workers we will be changing pediatricians. I also had a conversation with the owner Dr Bourland about my experience that day. She doubled down with her front desk rep Robert who refused us to be seen when the nurse called us back. It’s evident she has zero compassion for any patients and it’s all about the dollar for her now. Maybe she lost the love of healthcare for children over the years bc her tone and conversation with me over the phone were cold hearted and demeaning. I felt so worn down/confused by their treatment of us. And what’s worse is that I felt her practice did not care about my child, just the money. Not once was it ever even considered by anyone on staff (except our dr. storandt) that they could have handled the situation better. It’s just sad when the dollar becomes more important to the practice than the patient (your child)."
