"What a great find. We were staying right across the street and it was a really cold evening. Didn’t want to venture too far and heard great things about the restaurant and we were not disappointed. We had a great garden salad and a wood fired pizza. Both excellent choices. The waitress was very attentive and did the great job. The owners\chefs were very present and made an effort to visit every table. Great place."

"I had the elk special and it was perfectly prepared. The owner stopped by and hopefully they will continue to bring this in periodically. I was lucky and managed to get the last serving. Also had flatbread and dip - such a large serving i ended up with lots of leftovers even sharing"

"Every time you get takeout from Popolo, add a Spinach Artichoke Dip. Not to eat as an appetizer because you won't need it with their generous entrees. But to eat for breakfast next day. You get creamy spinachy artichokey dip in a foil tin and AN ENTIRE PIZZA CRUST FLATBREAD cut into strips. Heat this in your broiler. You must use a broiler for peak experience to crisp up the flatbread and brown the edges and high points of the cheesey goo. If you don't possess a functioning broiler, get a toaster oven. This and most leftovers are best heated in a toaster oven. Save your overused microwave for thawing and reheating things you don't want browned or crisped. The Lemon Parmesan Shrimp pasta and the pizzas are always amazing, yes, but do provide yourself with a future meal of Spinach Artichoke Dip for the best quality of life."

"Waitress was VERY attentive! My husband and I had salmon and walleye. The food was good. The salmon entree had kale and bok choy. The kale was tough with stem on it; however the sauce was flavorful. We were there on a Friday night around 6 pm. Our food was delivered in shifts for a table of eight."

"Dinner on a Saturday night here with spouse and a friend. Delicious fresh, locally sourced ingredients make inspired and delicious entrees. Waitress was friendly. Took a bit longer than it should have for our food to arrive (others who arrived after we did received their food first) but the Old Fashioned was good until the food arrived. Recommended!"
