Reviews of Wolfe Run Apartments
"Do NOT rent here. A friend of a friend lived here a few years ago, and I don't doubt that she had a good experience. But apparently something happened in that time. Move in day: mid April, 90+ degrees and humid. Want to take a shower before bed. Shower head is so clogged with hard water it's not a shower. There's a single jet of water hitting the wall over my right shoulder. I'll just wash at the sink. Except the stopper is broken, AND I find it's clogged top to bottom with the PREVIOUS RESIDENTS HAIR. Fight Monica for months about deducting the price of the one I had to buy from my rent because I "didn't give them a chance to fix it" Oh but I DID. I noted it was full of hard water on walkthrough. Monica came in, sprayed it haphazardly, never checked it and moved on with her life. No weather stripping on my door. Rain was blowing in for weeks and I couldn't get them to install it, I was mopping all night on a couple occasions because I basically had no door. My AC never worked. Monica kept telling me "If your AC isn't cooling, that's a maintenance emergency, we'll send someone right out!" I called MULTIPLE times and got excuses. One time I asked "If nothing is wrong, why does it just keep getting hotter in here!" and the maint guy just shrugged AND LEFT. It was literally 94 in my unit. NINETY FOUR degrees. When I threatened to hire a private HVAC tech, all of a sudden it was "You know? It might be the coils". Cleaned those and what do you know! Meanwhile I was spent all summer paying a $300 (yes you read that correctly) electric bill to live in a sweltering apartment. I had roaches since the day I moved in. A horrible HORRIBLE infestation. They were everywhere. In the cupboards, under the brick of the fireplace, in the baseboards, in the bathroom. Just absolutely crawling with roaches. (See pictures). Pest control was coming in every 2 weeks and we were making no progress so I just gave up. Robin decided to put glue boards down to "Find out where they were coming from", I warned her not to put them ANYWHERE my cats could get to them and she assured me she wouldn't. My poor younger boy got one stuck to him, I had to rip out a chunk of fur to get it off (see picture) and he was so traumatized he hid for 3 days, refused to come out to even use the litter, and nearly died of a urinary blockage caused by stress. My door was rotten, I asked for it to be replaced. That was refused and they just kept sending someone over to pound on it. Then they "repaired" it with screws (see picture). I finally DEMANDED it be replaced the morning I couldn't exit because it had shifted on a cool night and I couldn't unlock it. My living room and bathroom ceiling are caving in (see pictures) and there's a leak in the laundry room (see picture). Monica has now hand waved this too with "Well idk how we fix that". Oh. OK. I'm sure it'll just go away then. I've straight up said to her this is worse than the apartment I left and she says "Oh my. We don't want that. We take pride in the property". My mailbox keys never worked. I got "Well ours do". Cool. Can I have one of those? I'm out of fight. I've given up. For a year, I haven't been able to have a single living soul in my "home". I am embarrassed to live here. Now the latest thing is I can't run the heat OR the AC because it's making a vile rattle that shakes the whole apartment. The response? "Oh idk what THAT would be!" Just acting absolutely brainless like none of these multiple, insane maintenance issues can be fixed. But they'll sure enter your apartment any old time they want and mess with your things. Monica walks in one day when I had no idea anyone was going to enter, scares the blank out of me, saunters into my bathroom and starts taking her shoes off to use my digital scale. Honey WHAT???? You don't live here. That's not yours. This lease has been a jail sentence and I'm glad it's over."
"My spouse & I lived here for 3 years prior to the pandemic, straight thru it till the end of it and just moved away with heavy hearts recently. The move had nothing to do with the apartment just had a change in personal private matter that took us away from our little home that we enjoyed. We had a lovely time living here. We were placed in a wonderful area with lovely neighbors. We had a pleasant experience with the staff as if they became family as well to us during this time. We went through a lot of personal issues during the time we were there, and all of the staff were understanding & supportive to our needs and helped as much as they could within business reasons and we’re grateful to them all. The area was very nice when we lived there. We would go on walks and mostly everyone was pleasant & engaging. Our apartment was quiet and so was the area around us. Amenities we experienced while living at Wolfe Run: Built in Washer/ Dryer Spacious 1 bedroom apartment Quiet living area Fireplace if you want to use. Neighbors looking out for one another. Discounted cable with apartment Wonderful/Efficient maintenance personnel Robin and Monica were always ready to answer any question/concern we had. Covered parking for my vehicle & due to my disability was given a parking space close to our apartment with proper certificate. Work out room was cute. Helped me with my disability needs. Office to work at a computer and print material if needed. Swimming pool w/ BBQ pit if you didn’t have one. Trash/Recycle pick up twice a week. Wonderful engaging neighbors These are things we loved about living here at Wolfe Run. We had a pleasant experience so hopefully this will help you to consider living here. I’m truly sorry to hear for anyone that didn’t experience the same as us. I will say the apartment behind this complex and the new ones next door, does have some peculiar activity at times so be vigilant on being watchful for you and your fellow neighbor, because understand in this new world we live in; most people have no respect for what is not there’s so the best thing you can do is be proactive with your own security and attentiveness to your surroundings where you may reside . Get to know your neighbors because helping to look out for one another does help you, + you find & meet some of the best people in life. We certainly did. I wish you all the best & much happiness to each and every one-of you."

"2 stars for the amenities and value, but I guess you get what you pay for. During my 15-month stay, I was burglarized TWICE. The first time was 7 months into my lease when overnight, all four of my tires were stolen. When speaking to my neighbors who helped report the incident early the next morning, they said that theft is a common occurrence and that this was an issue that they had reported to the front office multiple times. What action did the front office take regarding this, you may ask? They created a Facebook post telling us of ways to avoid being a victim of crime. While I understand that crime rates are high in the area, there was a severe lack of responsibility on behalf of the apartment complex to protect their residents. There were mentions of a security officer paroling the premises, but not once did I see one roaming around, nor have they actually been useful. I had to purchase my own security cameras to point towards the parking lot in order to feel some sense of security. The second time I was burglarized was three weeks prior to the end of my lease, when my car was broken into overnight prior to the morning of my shift at the hospital. I once again had to call the cops and got another round of sympathy from my neighbors, but frankly, all I could think about was how excited I was to leave the apartment complex. My roommate was stuck with a $93/mo increase in rent, and this was going towards what? Brand new windows? There was acknowledgment from management of the high crime rates within the area, yet little was done to take any sort of ownership on actions they could have performed to help their residents. Taking no action is action. I know I can’t stop anyone from leasing at this complex, but I wanted to put my grievances out there on how little management cares about the safety of their residents."
"I just need to say I am so pleased with how this complex has treated me since I moved in. Going on just a few weeks and I can genuinely say the management cares. Monica and Robin are amazing! As soon as I mentioned some minor issues with my unit, they were on it to get it fixed. Monica came in personally to tidy up and even noticed something with the AC that I didn’t even catch, ensuring it was fix that day and paint was touched up next business day. Had a crack in the fridge, just noticed it was replaced next day too! They answer calls all the time and are patient when answering questions. Maintenance is also super sweet and speedy."
