"Dr. Thai's bedside manner is commendable, but I would caution against seeking his services unless your child is in good health. After much deliberation over 1.5 years, I feel compelled to share my experience to assist other parents. My daughter, Emma, was under Dr. Thai's care from 0.5 to 2.5 years old, after switching from another practice where similar concerns were dismissed. Despite consistently raising issues such as difficulty eating solid foods, persistent vomiting, inadequate weight gain, disrupted sleep patterns, and nightly night terrors, Dr. Thai assured us that our daughter was normal, overlooking our suspicions of tongue and lip ties. We sought opinions from various specialists independently, including dentists, ENTs, and gastrointestinal experts, yet encountered resistance to our concerns. Despite our persistence, Dr. Thai remained adamant about our daughter's well-being. It wasn't until we sought care elsewhere, specifically at Whole Child Texas and eventually Natural Choice, that significant improvements began. Magnesium supplements, recommended by Whole Child Texas, alleviated our daughter's sleep issues almost immediately. Additionally, Sally's and Associates provided valuable feeding therapy, ultimately leading to the diagnosis and treatment of severe tongue and lip ties, vastly improving our daughter's speech development and eating habits. Our decision to switch pediatricians was validated when our son, brought to Dr. Thai for six months before seeking alternative care, was diagnosed with EoE and FPIES, conditions that went unnoticed under Dr. Thai's supervision. Despite our son's weight percentile indicating concern, Dr. Thai failed to intervene, contrasting sharply with the proactive approach of Ms. Sally, whose insight proved invaluable in identifying and addressing our son's conditions early on. In summary, while Dr. Thai possesses admirable bedside manner, his tendency to overlook parental concerns and dismiss potential health issues may pose risks to children's well-being. The dedication and expertise demonstrated by practitioners like Ms. Sally underscore the importance of thorough and attentive medical care, particularly in cases where children's health is at stake."
"I have used this office for many years and value the relationship I have with all the staff. Easy to get same day appointments"
"Dr. Thai failed to properly diagnose my child’s condition. Despite our repeated concerns about the possibility of tongue tie/lip tie, he dismissed them, insisting that everything looked normal. He attributed our child’s feeding difficulties to mere parental anxiety. It wasn’t until we sought a second opinion from another pediatrician that our child’s failure to thrive was properly addressed. The subsequent specialist visit confirmed our suspicions of tongue tie/lip tie. Disappointed by Dr. Thai’s oversight and lack of thorough examination."
"I have been taking my son to Dr. Thai ever since he was born and he is now almost 13. However, they have changed from caring to strictly business in the last few years. We hardly ever see the doctor anymore and for that matter any other doctor. We just see nurse practitioners who can only prescribe Tylenol and Ibuprofen which my grandmother could do it as well. Totally useless place and most of their testings are inconclusive as well."
"Dr Thai and receptionist (forgot her name but it starts with a K) are the friendliest most welcoming .. everyone else that I have interacted with isn’t that friendly / doesn’t give us enough information. Doesn’t even make my son feel comfortable by interacting with him before trying examine him."
