Reviews of Legacy at Cibolo Apartments
"Legacy at Cibolo: Your dystopian future is now! I moved intoLegacy at Cibolo with high hopes, lured in by the glossy brochures, the 3d renderings of the apartment and the seemingly professional demeanor of the management. However, what I experienced during my year-long lease was nothing short of a living dystopian nightmare. Maintenance Disasters: Maintenance requests were a futile endeavor. My requests were either ignored or addressed weeks later with shoddy workmanship. The dishwasher in my apartment never worked, asked multiple times to have it fixed and it sounds like it's running but just does not clean and bathes your dishware in sewer water. Noise Levels from Hell: The walls are paper-thin. You can hear everything from your neighbors' arguments to their late-night TV binges, you can hear people watching p0rn in their bedroom from your own bed. Peaceful sleep was a luxury I couldn't afford at Legacy at Cibolo. Incompetent and Rude Management: The staff, once so friendly, showed their true colors once the lease was signed. Any complaint was met with eye-rolls, and concerns were dismissed with an astonishing lack of empathy. You are cannon fodder to these people and only good to be squeezed out of your money at the end of every month. Absurd Pet Policies and Unjust Fines: The pet policy here is nothing short of draconian. Believe it or not, they actually charge rent for pets – yes, my dog was technically a paying tenant! And the fines are ridiculous. I was slapped with a $250 fine for allegedly not picking up after my dog, an accusation as baseless as it is infuriating. I have always been meticulous about cleaning up after my pet. The most absurd part? On arrival, they required a cotton swab of my dog's DNA, a process more suited to an episode of NCIS than a residential apartment complex. It felt invasive and unnecessary, adding to the already oppressive atmosphere of Legacy at Cibolo. Rigidity in Lease Termination Policies: In a final, frustrating twist, Legacy at Cibolo demonstrated their inflexibility and opportunism with their lease termination policy. Despite being a resident in good standing, I was penalized with an additional week on my lease, and the corresponding rent, simply because my move-out notice missed their 60-day(!) window by a mere few days. This rigid adherence to policy, without consideration for circumstance or tenant history, felt like a deliberate tactic to squeeze out every last penny. It was a stark reminder of their unyielding, profit-first approach, further souring my overall experience. Absolutely disgusting. In conclusion, Legacy at Cibolo wasn't just a disappointment; it felt like a dystopian future where tenant happiness and well-being are disregarded in favor of a cold, profit-driven administration. The oppressive atmosphere, where surveillance and strict, nonsensical rules reign supreme, stripped away any semblance of comfort or homeliness. It's a place where you're constantly watched, judged, and penalized for the most minor infractions, real or imagined. This complex serves as a stark reminder of what happens when management loses sight of humanity and empathy in pursuit of maximizing control and revenue. My advice remains: avoid this place at all costs. There are far better options available where you and your pets can live without feeling like characters in a bleak, dystopian novel in the People's Republic of Boerne."
"I have lived at this apartment for over a year. I recently received a $500 charge for not picking up my dogs poop back in September. The thing is, I am the only one that walks the dog and I know I have picked up the dogs poop everytime. The office tried to convince me I must have missed a time, then they said they had someone in the office who saw me. I have spoken with 3 other people in my building and in the building next to me who said they also received the chrages. They have all moved because of the charges. I did the math and if 10 people are falsely getting charged $500 each month, that is $5000 a month and $60000 a year. Nice incentive to swab out pets when we move in on the name of "keeping it clean"--meanwhile it is $60,000 amount they are making each year if it is just 10 people. I am sure it is more. When I said that I would not pay the fees, I was told that my rent would be apllied to fees and then I would be evicted for not paying the rent in full. They also said they would give me a payment plan to pay the fees for poop I never left on the ground. Part 2-As you can see below, more deceit from the office. They are acting like we have not had 3 phone calls and numerous emails about their criminal false charges. Their final email said: "If I did not pay the bogus $500 poop fee, they would take it out of my rent and then evict me because rent would be short." They also said: "It is in your lease that we take the fees out of your rent". I hope this helps someone out there. No company should be bringing in over $100,000 a year in poop fees."
"If I could rate this zero-stars, I would. This complex has caused so many issues, and have found every single opportunity to take advantage of an older-person living there. First of all, they refused for months to handle any maintenance issues which were submitted through their online portal (a violation of our lease and Texas law). Then they have had so many issues related to billing and invoices - wrong bills, late bills, changing billing portals multiple times, lack of communication about the new portals, late fees when the system "forgot" to bill, and then letters threatening eviction for residents who didn't even know a change had occurred. Finally, they have now tried to charge us for cleaning an apartment after move-out with corresponding pictures showing normal wear and tear as defined by Texas law. They lack follow up when questions are submitted, they have a condescending tone in every single interaction I have had with them, and they have manipulated billing situations in a manner which should be investigated the appropriate authorities."
"My experience here has been incredible so far. The team here is nice and friendly and truly care about your well-being. My apartment is even better than I thought it would be. I had high expectations and they exceeded them! The pool is a dream with a resort style feel and the gym is so clean with nice equipment. I have been a fitness instructor for over 10 years and worked in various gym locations and this one compares. I don’t even plan to get a gym membership somewhere because of how nice this one is. The maintenance crew is phenomenal! So fast and efficient. All in all, I feel honored to call this my home and would recommend anyone who inquires to make this their home as well. Thank you Legacy at Cibolo for creating a phenomenal community!"
"**Update** The apartments at Cibolo Creek pretty. My neighbors are great! I enjoy the community area and amenities. Close to downtown shopping and the walking path along the river. The downfall is the management! They have added an abundance of misc fee charges that were never disclosed up front! They have said things and don’t stand behind it. They never respond to emails and communication is horrible, lots of turnover, new manager is rude. Lots of complaints from other tenants! They are not professional. I give 5 stars for the location, 3 stars for the construction and maintenance, and 1 star for professionalism. I wouldn’t recommend!"
