Reviews of Campus Edge on UTA Boulevard
"Maintenance are responsive, and management was willing to work with me when I had weird circumstances with move-in. The apartments are actually pretty nice, the furniture is coated particle board surrounded by black steel that doesn't show damage easily. It is probably the best you will get out of next-to-campus housing. My friend had pipes burst in the apartment above them and got accommodations in a hotel AND another empty apartment in the complex. I have never seen a roach but that depends on if your roommates are filthy or not."
"Responsive and nice staff, as well as quick and responsive maintenance. The cleanliness has been slowly improving to an extent from what I saw when I moved into my unit. Very nice free coffe machine in the lobby. The general manager is very reponsive over email and helped me with rooming issues last year after the deadline. Issues sometimes with very loud fire alarms and high rent prices compared to other apartments nearby, although less close to campus. Fire alarms were a result of tennants who did not prevent pipe bursts, not the fault of the complex. My friends who had flooded units were given separate places of residence swiftly after their units flooded. Overall better than the dorms because the meal plan at UTA sucks."
"Don’t live here unless you want to be terrorized by fire alarms at all hours of the day and night, and also never get information as to why they went off. On multiple occasions the fire alarms have gone off for extended periods of time (30 minutes to over an hour) at 4am, 6am, 10am, 12pm… etc. This is far more than monthly tests and they always wait as long as they can before turning them off. I’m not a genius in the workings of fire alarms but I know that they piss me off. If nothing else I have been completely desensitized. Ithere was a real emergency I would not take it seriously. Do better campus edge."
"It's was hard to live here. Why? Internet owned by UTA campus, so wifi is constantly going down, wanna get your own can't, even though the building is wired for spectrum, Parking is good, unless you have out of date tags, a flat, or parked in incorrect spot Immediate tow. No warning just gone. Had it happen, also seen it happen to others. Front staff is lazy, though management and maintenance do a great job, really. People don't know or choose not to use trash compactor so they stack it in front of it making it look terrible and smell terrible. Set your trash bag on door step it patio to take out when you leave? Nope here's a fine. The tenants here are sloppy."
"It’s not worth the money living here unless you have absolutely no other options. When I received my keys, the room was disgusting. I went to the office & the outcome was an apology with $24 posted to my account. I moved my stuff into the closet & left for the weekend. When I came back on Monday, it was half cleaned. (Pictures below is what they considered to be clean) I did a maintenance request regarding black mold. They sprayed Clorox & left. I’ve been locked out the apartment 2x in the last 5 months because of the key fob needing to be reprogram. Luckily, I have family that stay in the area because maintenance don’t answer the emergency line. Other people mail is always in my apartment unit mailbox except the people that actually live there.(pictures below as well) The wall are so thin. I can hear the person above me alarm going off every morning."
