"Husband and I lived here for 3 years with 2 children. Overall the area is well maintained and Carlos (staff maintenance) is good about fixing things as they break or malfunction. The neighborhood was amazing when we first moved in but now has a much rougher crowd. The kids that go to the playground are rarely watched by adults and tear stuff up, blare inappropriate music, cuss and are hateful to others. It got to the point that we didn’t spend much time outside unless the playground was empty. The first year and a half the man below had 3 kids and we could only hear doors and cabinets closing. We were in an upstairs unit and could hear our second set of downstairs neighbors ALL THE TIME! I have kids and totally understand that they can be loud but this was excessive (yelling and fighting at night, bumping music all hours, kids scream crying so bad I actually called the police one time for a wellness check because it was scaring me and my kids). In 2020 when the pool was closed all year we were never offered a reduction in price even thought the only amenity we used was unavailable. In the 3 years we were there we were NEVER late on rent. When we moved out I gave 45 day notice and spent 2 days cleaning the empty apartment. Now they are trying to charge ridiculous amounts for unnecessary things. When I called to inquire about the charges I was given the “I’m so sorry I understand but...” run-around. If you do move here don’t plan on getting a deposit back and expect charges. Our first 2 years there were great but the last one was hard to endure and the extra charges for unnecessary things just really leaves a sour taste after being great tenants for so long."
"We have lived here a little over a year. Although we are relocating to a new city and not renewing our lease. Woodhaven Villas has been a wonderful place to call home. Any time we had maintenance requests and issues, they were all addressed in a timely manner! Great, peaceful, and safe."
"We just moved in here about 2 months ago. The place is clean and the community is kept up well. It’s a quiet friendly neighborhood and my neighbors have been great! My kids love the play ground too. The only down side is the train tracks nearby but you get used to it quick and it doesn’t bother us!"
"They are well built and cozy apartments. You are close to the freeway and most schools. The management is very honest and easy to deal with. They have several amenities including a dog park, pool, and a small playground. The cons. Are, it's very close to the train tracks. Later in the day parking is hard to find and blocks the street into a one lane road. You can easily hear your upstairs neighbors, if you're in a bottom unit. And lastly you have to get AT&T service they are the only providers in the area."
"MOVE IN-201 -I recently moved in and am currently living here. Great family atmosphere with great staff. My unit has had a bit of a bug problem. They knew this and still allowed me to move in. I love this place and it's location. Interstate 20 isn't but a mile away. If we can get this pest control problem under control it would be the perfect place for my son and I. 1YEAR LIVING HERE- I posted a review a week into my move in. I must say I've come to love this place. Turns out the pest-roaches weren't due to bad care taking of the complex. It was due to my down stairs neighbors who left food out and brought roaches with them when they moved here. Kaleigh T the front desk is amazing and so willing to help fix any issue or suggestions anyone has. She's a very caring person. This is a very family oriented complex. On any given day you will see all of our neighborhood kids playing while us parents cook out of just chat. We've decided it's our own little world away from the chaos once you pull out. Everyone gets along here and we all help each other. Like I said the female manager is adamant about the "Golden Rule", she will go out of her way to help anyone. The male manager is not as personable and a bit passive aggressive but we all have our own personalities. I will also write a review when my move out approaches as I've seen other reviews dying they were slammed with fees that they weren't notified of. I just can't see the managers doing that but we shall see. So far so good for the most part. You have your common apartment complex complaints but that's normal and is taken care of very fast. Until move out, see y'all! -B.A. 4-18-16"
