"For two months now we’ve been waiting on our deposit back on an apartment we didn’t even move in to or live in!? We were denied due to my fiancé being paid per diem and having overtime which they claimed was not counted due to it not being “dependable” honestly for them being fair housing that was a way of showing they truly aren’t. We had initially gave the deposit so we can have the apartment placed on hold after they advised us we were not eligible due to the way my fiancé makes his income, they advised us they’d issue us a check for our return of the deposit which would arrive in 10-15 days, I provided them with the address to send it to and instead they ended up sending it to an entirely different location. From there we requested information on when we’d receive it and we’re told they sent it to the wrong one and that we’d have to wait another 10-15 days for another one so I gave them our current address again. Here we are now still haven’t received any of our deposit and this is money we’ve lost due to us not being given the fair value as any other individual who makes an income for themselves."
"Just moved in three days ago. I usually do a light "once over" cleaning to ensure the space is up to my standards, but I was in this apartment for over two hours before bringing in any of my stuff because it was so dirty. I cleaned massive amounts of dirt off the floors and base-boards. I also collected 2 & 1/2 canisters of dirt, dust, and hair in my vacuum after going over the carpets. My suggestion to management was that they deduct $100 of off next month's rent for my trouble. Keep in mind, $100 is less than 10% of the $1229 I'll be paying each moth for a less than spectacular and definitely not modern or luxurious two-bedroom/one-bath apartment at this complex. Their suggestion was to resend out the carpet cleaners and cleaning ladies they used before, but why on earth would I want either to come back when they did such a sub-par job in the first place?!? In addition, there is a terrible pest issue I also reported (ants, gnats, roaches, etc) and am awaiting action on. Also of note, I have yet to receive even the simplest of apologies from anyone on the management team. I'll be looking for a new home soon. The penalty for ending the lease early seems insignificant given all the problems I've discovered/am discovering. :("
"DO NOT RENT HERE!!! This place is poorly managed. My AC never worked in my apartment. When I moved out, they never sent a final bill. I even called and asked and was told I didn’t owe anything. Two years later (no bill ever sent and no phone call), they turned me in to a debt collection agency. They are disorganized and incompetent."
"This is Josh P. We left the apartment and glad that we did it. We paid additional 500$ for painting and additional 300$ for blinds. We disputed the 954$ additional payment that they put into our account! Reata said its bec of urine and brown discoloration that reata found in the room! I told the staff we didnt have any pet to do that! Our eldest was toilet trained and the other toddler has diaper. Its impossible theres a urine and we didnt know about that brown discoloration. Typically when we move to that unit where we last stayed from other unit (within the same apartment) according to Staff, they changed the carpet for the new tenant esp if it doesnt look new at all. We stayed in that unit for 1 year a total of 2 years in reata. Basically carpet wont be the same from the first time they install it, its been a year. They want us to shoulder that 954$ for the carpet , its a huge money! As if we paid for 1 month rental. I regret staying to this apartment. Its the first time the apartment complex want us to pay the carpet! This is the first time , We are still in the process of disputing. But the only good thing for this apartment we met good people staff like joe, zal and ziri. But other than that, we regret to stay in this apartment"
"I love living at Reata, especially since Belinda has come on board! She and the whole crew are welcoming and friendly. She even throws appreciation parties/events for residents! Also, any maintainence issues are addressed quickly. I love living in a community that appreciates my business! So much so, that I just signed on for my 4th year. Highly recommend!"
