HITS Theatre, located in the heart of Houston Heights, offers a unique and empowering experience for youth in grades K-12. With a focus on educational theater classes in acting, singing, dancing, and production, HITS Theatre has been nurturing young talent for over 40 years. Through professional training and a compassionate approach, students are encouraged to find their passion and develop their own voice.
At HITS Theatre, diversity and inclusivity are at the forefront, creating a safe space for students to explore their creativity using eco-conscious practices and mindful techniques. "Housed in a former post office vehicle repair facility of all things, the magic of theater lives on in the Heights, a once-separate railroad town now part of central Houston. Apart from a show every year or so on the big stage in Herman Park, the rest of the repertoire of primarily musicals from adaptations of stories kids know and love happen at their home. For children from Kindergarten through high school with an occasional stretch cast, they’ve been providing theater education to thousands of kids for over 20 years."
