"I have been coming here for years with my family. Food has always been great. The customer service has been extremely disappointing. The woman who works the front register is extremely rude and abrasive. Her name is Doris. She ignored my to go order for 30 minutes and got upset when I asked her about it. It’s sad to see poor customer service in a restaurant my family and I have been coming to for a very long time. This is not the first time my family and I have had issues with this person. Management should reevaluate the people they hire."
"Pleasant restaurant that's been here for decades. Despite that, I had never been! Was surprised it was so big! We arrived and ordered from the menu. Prices were decent, especially when comparing to prices at other places you can get a steak. I got steak, steamed broccoli, and a salad. The first person we interacted with didn't explain that the steaks came with a salad or baked potato, so the cashier explained to us. The ingredients in the salad bar were fresh and delicious. Can't complain! The steak and broccoli were good, nothing to write home about. Overall, the food was good, not great but good. Enough to fill up on, so I'd come here again."
"Great food, simple menu, excellent prices, and generous portions! This is my new favorite place on the Oak Cliff side of Dallas. The chicken fried steak was huge, the steak was cooked perfectly and served with a piece of Texas toast, a giant baked potato, and a bowl of salad that you are able to top yourself. The folks behind the counter work fast and the staff that work the dining room are accessible for refills or napkins or whatever you want."
"Great spot if you're looking for a "simple" steak, potatoes, and salad. I walked in 20 minutes till closing, and my food was fresh like they had just opened. The cook all the way down to the cashier was helpful, friendly, and just wonderful all around. I love to see smiles on faces that are preparing my food! My steak wasn't seasoned to my liking, but nothing a little salt and pepper couldn't fix. I did notice that they advertise steak/wedge fries, but I received crinkle cut. Still good."
