"I lived there for quite a few years and it was a decent and fair rent amount at that time that I moved in. Each year, unfortunately, the management company continued to increase the rent, which was very disappointing, especially because there were not many upgrades to the property itself, other than exterior painting. During the time I resided there, I had to constantly call maintenance to come fix one of the appliances and every time they came, they would say there is nothing wrong with it. However, it didn't work for me. The appliances in general were very old and outdated. Also, I could constantly smell cigarettes and MJ coming through the vents, so that was inconvenient and annoying. They claim they have a gym, but there were no treadmills or elliptical machines, not even an exercise bike, so not much of a gym there. I went to the pool one time only because nine times out of ten, there were an overload of children in the pool who didn't even live there. Other times, the pool would be closed because they were fixing something. As many times that they would send out letters to the residents about this problem, people would still not pick up their dog's poop so there was always that chance you would step in it and track it into your apartment or car. As faithful as I was to pay my rent on time every month I lived there, there was one time my bank had a problem on their end, which caused my rent to be late. I received a letter on my door from the office staff, almost reprimanding me like I was a child, that I needed to take care of the rent ASAP or further consequences would take place. I felt like that could have been handled in a more professional manner, since I was a good tenant with an on-time rent history all the other months. When it is a tenant problem, they are quick to escalate and address the problem, but when it comes to the safety and the welfare of the tenants (such as the recent water quality in southern New Mexico with CRRUA), they did not look after the tenant's best interest and notify us in a timely manner. There were some good moments there. I felt safe there. There were no crimes that affected me and my stay there, thankfully. The office staff were cordial. The maintenance staff were timely and professional. Our neighbors were friendly for the most part. Overall, it was an "ok" place to live and served its purpose. I feel that for the amount of rent they are asking for, they need to do a serious upgrade to the appliances, the carpeting, the gym, and some of the landscaping. "First and foremost I’d like to say that indeed this place just like everything else has great stuff, I’d like to list the ones that were not so positive and made me stay away from them as someone might feel identified with that so they do not rent here. Santa Teresa Terrace is a big complex of apartments, located in Santa Teresa, New Mexico. Location: while it might be close to your work place if you work in the port of entires or border patrol, or one of the factories around the area, the apartment complex is very far away from everything else. Walmart is about 12-15 minutes away with traffic. God forbids you forget something at the store because you’ll really loose 1 hour driving back and forth from Walmart because of the traffic and (this is the closest store) there’s only a dollar general about 4 miles from there but again you can’t go walking to any store and most than likely you’ll have to go to Walmart because they don’t have what you look for at family dollar. Car breaks down and you work in El Paso? Need to get to the airport in El Paso ? Uber/ Lyft would quote me $140 to take me to the airport from the apartment complex. Apartment size: king size beds do not fit into the master bedroom. If you want to fit one the only way would be to put it against the window which is dangerous god forbids a fire, no way to get out through the windows. And even then you can’t even get out of the bed. It’s so frustrating to cook at the kitchen you can’t even move there. No space for anything. This apartment has carpet, and it’s not the nice type of carpet it’s a disgusting dated type of carpet. Very old. This apartment complex offers you the opportunity to pay your rent online however you have to pay 3% commission if you do credit card which is the norm, no big complaint there. The staff was very friendly, very professional. Once we moved there the manager was so nice and went to ask us how everything was, she was always helping people. There was a time where I saw her saving a dog that was stuck into tree with the help of the other staff, they keep the property very clean. And it feels safe. Now with the water quality this is not their fault but it’s been yellow for the last 5 months or so and this is jot their fault again but why would you want to move to Santa Teresa. Move out - most place make you give them 1 month in advance notices, this places requires to give them 2 months (60 days) this seems with all the intention to make you pay fees. When looking To move out most places won’t hold you a place for 60 days but you already told this place you need to leave to you need to leave. Otherwise they’ll charge you per month by month about 3k per month. Abusive practice. No cell phone service, no Verizon, no T-Móvil, no ATT service. Cell phones do not work here which is very inconvenient not their fault but something to consider. Price: this is where all takes a turn for the worst they will tell you you will pay maybe 1100 a month which is very expensive consider how small the apartment is, but that’s not it and water, sewer, trash fees are almost 130 a month, because water is allocated and charged with all the other apartments in the building. Completely ridiculous. I ended up paying almost 1250 a month, this is before my electricity bill which it was so dated that during summer I ended up paying bills for almost $300 a month. I moved out because they wanted to increase the rent again, and while it was going to be something like 60 a month which they said it wasn’t a lot they were going to start charging new fees I think a maintance fee. So no, really look for something else there’s better places for this price. A lot of people are moving out because how expensive this place is, just look how many empty apartments they have listed right now. Please look for a better more decent place to live, for that price you can get something better. Now if the price was right I’d say go for it. I’d suggest 800 a month would be fair. Location = 4/10 Staff = 9/10 Size = 4/10 Maintenance = 5:10"
"I been living here for four months and I feel very comfortable. It's nice and quiet and this place is exactly what I was looking for. "My first impression of the staff is that they are very friendly and attentive, the apartment is very nice. I must say | was very pleased with Kimberly’s professionalism, dedication, competence, courtesy and willingness to go above and beyond with kindness & humor. Even when I had a little bit of trouble, thank you for all you do and for being a hard worker & a great person. Application process & communication from management has been great. Really excited about moving in."
"Kimberly is such great help and always answers any questions that my mom and I may have. She responds quickly and makes us feel heard. We just moved in to the apartment and it is in great condition and it instantly felt like home. To anyone looking to rent around this area, I recommend 100%."
