Reviews
"I have judged over 70 steak cookoff contests and disagree with the Reviews by Richard Piper. I have actually seen first time cooks win a contest. If the same cooks win all the contests it because they practice at all the contests. They have adjusted their seasoning and cook time to create a steak that the judges will give good scores. I don’t know Richard but it sounds like his steaks all the same and so he doesn’t win. Sorry, but it takes practice, practice, practice until you get the presentation, doneness, texture and taste that the judges are looking for. Don’t give up, practice more!"
"So much fun!"
"We cannot recommend Steak Cook-off Association. After being members for over five years we dropped the membership due to the management ( or the lack of) and what the organization has become. As cooks it has very difficult to receive winning scores. The winning cooks have taken the cook to a level that can only be called "extremely unrealistic." Most new cooks will sign up for a few contests only to realized that a small group holds the knowledge to win and everyone else just contribute to the prize money. To judge the steaks a person must sign up and pay for a class, and then travel too each contest, at their own expense, and only receive a few small (very small) samples of steak to score the meat. Not only does this take away from family time but also can be very expensive with five dollar a gallon gas and possible overnight motel stays If you should join either to cook or judge I believe you will quickly realize our assessment is very true and fair."

"An outstanding organization supporting the growth of competitive steak cookoffs throughout the world."
