Reviews of Quaker Pines Apartments
"Amazing property, staff, all the above. My tenure from 2018-2021 being in Lubbock as a student from Texas Tech this property from the beginning made me feel not only welcomed but throughout the journey as family. When my lease was ending and my tenure at Texas Tech via education was over. They even wanted me to stay. Still hits me to this day. Highly recommend this property to anyone. Thank you Quaker Pines once again for making me feel like family. Sincerely, Morshleen Mathew"
"I have lived here for 3 years now. I have loved my experience. The maintenance is always quick and helpful. The mangers have been understanding and quick to respond! I live in a smaller efficiency and I have enjoyed living there. For the most part it is a very quiet neighborhood and I would highly recommend looking here for a place to live!"
"I lived here my Junior year at Tech and loved it. Nostalgia overload looking back now. The apartments are small and nice, don't remember ever having a problem, quiet but close to campus and health science center. I remember jumping in the pool, which feels like Melrose Place in Lubbock summers, after riding my bike home (the route was more brash when Marsha Sharp was being built). I met some neighbors who went to medical school, all good vibes. Coffee shop nearby and some stuff on 19th. Neighborhood across Quaker is pretty and nice to run/bike in. Hope some other students enjoy it as much as I did. Especially if you cannot find roommates for a year...."
"The staff is nice , I’ll start there . But i’ve had several issues with the noises here. Walls are thin , floor plans are not mirrored like I was told and on the contract it states no pets allowed yet management can have them. Along with constant year round construction from Greek circle and the occasional fraternity music and parties.. I've had better living experiences in Lubbock . I can hear those living below me, even their conversations, The neighbors bath tub is on the other side of my headboard and I can hear the water running from the shower. This is just not set up like I first was told and I did not plan on calling the office every time I heard a managements dog barking outside my window . I thought living here would be more quiet and enjoyable but I’m ready to move"
"I lived two years in Quaker Pines Townhomes which is managed by JTI properties. My experience during the two years was that the property manager was inconsistent, manipulative, and lacked honesty/integrity. Maintenance was excellent. JTI properties is more worried about cash flow from it tenants instead of meeting the needs of the property and its tenants needs regarding the apartments/townhomes. In regards to the facilities, it is very small complex and apartments/townhomes are also very small compared to other locations in Lubbock. There are mostly college students/grad students living on the property. The property is located across the alley from a frat house so noise level can be loud in the evenings and weekends. Parking lots are extremely small and most need repaving. Pool is very nice. Laundry room is upstairs only and out of three washers only one works well. The other two washers do not agitate clothing properly. At least one dryer is broken on most occasions. When I asked for assistance moving furniture, I was told it was against the policy of the complex to assist moving furniture for any reason. Overall, my recommendation would to to have you look at other properties. It is very difficult to work with a manager who changes her word, does not follow through on promises, or even lies about events."
