"We lived at this apartment complex for 2 years now. I would not recommend this complex whatsoever. In our first apartment, we lived in Building A, The Kitchen Counter was broken and slanted due to rot, and even after multiple request, theyve never fixed it. We also received a faulty fridge that didnt keep our food cold, which would result in groceries going bad at a quicker rate. Then since we were expanding our family we decided to upgrade to a townhome. and the front office lady at the time lost our first deposit and told us we were required to put another deposit again. When we were waiting for availability so we could prepare the move, we werent told until last minute and we only had 2 days to move our entire apartment that was on the 3rd floor to a townhome. (and I was pregnant at this time) now, our heater in this townhome broke Dec 28th 2023, and to this day they still havent fixed it. said a part was ordered, then the part was never ordered. then they took out the entire heater from our townhome and they still havent replaced it. In January of 2024 there was a polar vortex that resulted in 28 days out of the entire month that resulted in below freezing temps. we have a newborn and a toddler residing with us. when our hands were tied we informed the apartment we werent paying our February rent until they fixed the heater, instead of offering us a space heater for our home or any remedy, they instead had a man barge into my home when I was only in my underwear and shirt with only my two children with me to hand me a eviction notice. and instead of this man realizing I was half naked and startled to leave my home, he instead stayed in and continued to wave the paper around. this is unbelievable.. DO NOT RENT HERE!"
"My son chose The Parks at Granite for his first apartment. They advertised that they had recently switched management when we first went in and we were hopeful it would be the right fit for him on a limited budget. After only a few months, they switched management AGAIN and the new management was left with quite a mess to clean up paperwork wise. They went above and beyond to straighten everything out and make sure it was taken care of. My son was notified of a mixup and they handled it in a professional manner and with compassion. The level of human kindness can’t be understated here. As a Mother with a child out on his own for the first time, I feel good about him living here."
"I don't know how many different owners of this property there have been, but the general consensus is that none of the management staff had a level of competency higher than that of a teenager. The make ready team was pleasant, but under paid and over tasked. The property in general was in poor repair, the level of communication was always subpar, and follow up from the management staff (regardless of constant follow up on the tenants side) was none existent. Imagine talking your partner down after a property manager walked in on them showering. This is but one example of their complete lack of professionalism and utter lack of respect for their tenants. Inflation be damned what is being asked for rent is absolutely absurd for such a run down complex."
"When we first moved to Granite in December of 2021 it was decent and everything worked fine. The manager Jamie was very courteous, helpful and professional with a positive attitude. However, her maintenance team was severely lacking. The apartment was not cleaned properly, nor were little things like mini blinds and windowsills dusted or changed out as they obviously needed to be. We were told that the carpets were shampooed, but apparently were not. A few months in, we started having a leaking issue that came from the upstairs bathroom to the downstairs living room. It was minor at first, we notified them and nothing was done except it being documented. Time passed, and still nothing. But everyone at the complex did get surprise "inspections" out of the blue, with only a few days warning for whatever reason. Due to the leak not being addressed, it grew and worsened. Paint started chipping and mold started growing. The leak spread into the bedroom closet and ruined clothing and personal items. It wasn't isolated to one spot, it was in several places. It became a nuisance and definitely not worth the extra $100 that they hiked up the rent to be. Actually, the rent should have been decreased for many who experienced unfit conditions. They brought in new management, she was a nice lady. Although that still did not correct all of the lingering issues they had. It needs an absolute overhaul and renovations. You simply cannot get around that. The prices are ridiculous for a place that is in need of so much attention. My 3 stars was for the initial move in condition, how quiet it was and Jamie the first manager and how she made it hassle free to move in without all of the stress and headaches that can sometimes come with the move-in process. We moved out after a little over a year. With that being said, The Parks at Granite I'm sure at one point, several years ago was an okay place to live. It truly does have a lot of potential to be a pleasant and historic residential apartment complex. Maybe one day it can be. But you can't do that with just a new manager. You can't put all of that onto 1 person or even 2. You need a new, professional maintenance team that has real qualifications and experience. More than 2 people to cover the grounds, and it certainly cannot consist of 2 guys that just know a little something about pulling a carpet up. That will not be sufficient. Pay the right people to take care of things the right way and maybe things can one day get better for the Granite. People deserve a much higher quality of living conditions for the hard earned money they're making. Thank You"
"No way to give 0 stars but I will say this. I Never will recommend this apartment! Maintenance and management they are a joke. Worst place I’ve ever lived. They not only had my kids and I live in a mold infested home. We were all sick so much from it. “Being low income I couldn’t move” lived there for 4 years they never fixed a dang thing. Tho they really like receiving their rent. Guys save your money. Choose a better place for your family.."
