"The front desk receptionist James, nurse assistant Marie, Dr. Celeste, and the lab work technician Rose were all very friendly and down to earth. They made my annual physical a breeze with a same-day lab work completed. Willing to go again :D"
"Do not use the Baylor Scott & White health system if at all possible. They are unaffordable, do not do the things they say they are going to do and their customer service is awful. I have been in contact with them for the past 2 months on a medical bill that they are billing me for charges that my insurance instructed them not to bill for, and are refusing to provide me with descriptions of the codes I was billed for. I wanted to make sure that I was being billed for the appropriate level of care that I received that day, and I have requested thos information more than once and keep getting their resistance and refusal to that information. Stephanie had promised me they would send that information, when they didn't I spoke to Cindy and she ended up hanging up on me. The level of care this company gives is insulting and I highly caution anyone from ever using them"
"I’ve gone twice to a BSW facility, the first was for a primary care visit, the second was for a specialist. Both times, I paid my copay, but received a second bill in the mail for $142 and $155. I spoke with a representative, who told me that BSW files two claims with providers: 1 under the doctor’s name, and 1 under the facility name for administrative charges. My insurance reached out to BSW and let me know that they confirmed that the billing is incorrect, and that I would be credited by BSW for the bill that I had already paid ($142), and that the other bill ($155) would be dropped. After a week, the bill is still on my online profile. I spoke with another BSW representative and was told that I still owe for the bill and would not be credited. I was told that they do 2 bills to insurance providers: one under the doctor for actual services rendered, then another “facility charge” for administrative costs of the hospital. My insurance record the claims again and found that the “facility charge” was put under “tobacco and smoking counseling 3-10 minutes”. I do not smoke and have never smoked. Still trying to figure out how to not get charged hindreds of dollars to get seen again. Great job."
"I just went for my first visit to establish a relationship with a primary care provider and they booked me for few regular tests like sugar , cholesterol and all these related tests. No one at baylor gave me any estimate about my out of pocket expenses. I went for the tests and few days later got a bill for $525. If I would have known about this that its not covered by my insurance I would have delayed these tests because they were not urgent or that important. This is totally unfair that they are asking for the money without even out if courtesy telling patients atleast some estimate of the due amount that going to be charged."
"My husband went for annual physical exam and they made a bill of $1000 for preventive blood tests. This was the routine check up that is covered by insurance. They wasted 2 hours and ended up saying it was a mistake. Still charged $100. We were so drained by the end of 2 hours that we just paid the $100 that made no sense and left. I read other reviews today and could totally relate on the experience of other people. This place is a complete billing nightmare."
