"My doctored recommended this office to start rheumatology care. I called on 8/18 and left message on the new patient voice mail with my info. I did not receive a call back, so I called again on 8/22 and left another message with my info. About a week later I told my doctor's office they had not called me, so my doctor's nurse tried to get through to them. She was finally able to get a hold of someone there several days later. She sent a formal referral over, and was told they'd call me to schedule an appointment. I never received that call, so I called again on 9/13 and left yet another message. As of 9/19, I still have no received that call promised to my doctor's nurse. I think a full month of calls and waiting is enough time for them to act. If the office can't be bothered to return a call in that timeframe, even with a referral in hand, then I don't expect their level of care to be very good."
"I recently had my appointment at this new office with Dr. Tew yesterday at 4 and I felt nothing but welcomed with nurse Sandy. My low rating is due to the front desk. One lady checks me in and as I sit waiting another front desk lady comes back to sit and says out loud to the other lady in front of me “Who is this?” I honestly didn’t feel at all welcomed considering it’s a new office. While I’m still sitting in the waiting room one of the front desk lady comes in and starts spraying Lysol everywhere. I honestly felt that could have waited until all patients were gone. After my visit with my doctor he tells me to schedule my next appointment with whoever is still at the front before I leave. I walked back towards the front to find no one there and the computers completely shut off… So I never got to schedule my appointment since the front desk ladies left. I was tremendously annoyed just because it is hard as it is to get a hold of the office let alone a call back."
"The practice is having trouble transitioning to the new office. The fact that all records and patient details have to be migrated is causing problems for the patients as well as the staff. After a lot of effort on our part we were able to get an appointment and the service was the same level of quality we have learned to expect. The low rating is due to the ineffective phone process and the limited portal access. I believe that once the portal access is established for appointments and they have all the existing patients scheduled for their follow ups, the process should be running as smoothly as it was at the old location."
"Originally, I was having a hard time scheduling with my doctor, but I'm aware of who his nurse is and found it easy to get in contact with the office and schedule a follow up once I spoke with his nurse. I left a message and she returned my call the same day and was able to schedule an appt for me the following week. My doctor said since the practice is new and they are still trying to catch up on scheduling patients along with returning thousands of calls, so for now to just call the nurse. They are hoping over the next month the process is smoother and easier for patients. Everyone at the office was friendly and my appt went well with my doctor. I was able to go in the morning also and barely had to wait."
"This is a followup posting from yesterday in which I complained I could not reach the office or get a callback for 3 days. Now I know sending a complaint is the thing to do because this happened: First, I received a call from the office and was able to make an appointment. Second, Dr Harper called me this morning and we talked about all the trouble they are having trying to get the phone service working correctly. Messages are not being picked up. The website had the wrong web address, etc, etc. Not so unusual when trying to set up a new office. Dr Harper is the kindest, most honorable man and you may be surprised that a doctor would call you about an office problem but it did not surprise me in the least. I have an appointment next Tuesday and I will be happy to share but I believe there will be nothing to advise but good things. Dr Harper is 5 stars in all ways!"
