"Never in my life have I seen someone treat an elderly person so disrespectfully. It does not make me mad it is truly just sad. Ashley Rooker is one of the most disrespectful people I have ever encountered."
"On August 6, 2020, at the height of COVID-19, we contacted the ambulance for my grandfather who had collapsed. Upon arrival, the female EMT, Ashley Rooker, dismissed our concerns and rudely interacted with my grandfather who was already struggling interacting due to his symptoms. Despite our insistence, she was declining transport to the hospital. Only after her colleague suggested the need for hospitalization did she become agreeable. Later, we discovered my grandfather had COVID-19 and was very high risk with new onset heart failure, leading to a gradual deterioration. Unfortunately, he did not survive, and the delayed response not only impacted his outcome, but was extremely traumatic for him & our family. A deputy visited our home due to the escalated situation and assured us of repercussions for Ashley's actions, though no details were allowed to be provided. Regrettably, we learned later that no action was taken, prompting this review. It is extremely disappointing to see medical professionals, like Ashley Rooker, have no repercussions for their lack of empathy and medical knowledge. This is what causes distrust and failure in our medical system. Please be careful with your families - be diligent and advocate for yourselves."
"On Monday, June 27th , we had to call an ambulance out for my father in law. The EMT’s that came out were top notch professionals that treated him with the utmost of care and compassion. With all the anxiety of the moment, I did not get their names, but took this pic as they were driving away. I would like to thank them so very much."
"Terrible customer service when resolving bill and insurance questions. Somehow it's a policy that their TAX ID number is confidential, which is false, and overall quite rude and unhelpful customer service. The high pressure to pay a bill is also quite disconcerting for a county service that is supposed to care for the community. Overall, be sure that you get your insurance provider on the phone and in a call before wasting your time calling Fort Bend County EMS by yourself to get information related to billing and insurance claims."
"Now gentleman EMT'S were very nice, lady EMT was rude to my husband showed up to accident trying find out what happened and where I was going, she refused to tell him, police at seen gave my husband info. Think lady has issues with men come to seen. She was very nice to me. Problem is love one comes at bad car accident they upset and have right to know, no matter ppl ion of EMT. I have a problem, I had requested Methodist in sugarland. They took me all way to Memorial Herman Southwest. 20 mins away. I was bleeding very bad . result from going to memorial herman still bleeding after stiches and now going hospital now 3 times do to it. I am going to Methodist. I had go back to MH because they initially stiches it .So I refuse to go for a third time. I see by these other posts you ambulances are contracted and if a person I insurance is paying, patient has the right. I had extremely nice EMT just one was rude to my husband."
