"I'm usually experienced a decent or good time. A good time with a VA doctor is when they at least kind of listen to you, you get to actually see an actually doctor and not a nurse even for a routine check up, or they see you when scheduled. People just don't get it that with the staff's working conditions, super standardized pay checks and assignments in duration that are similar to military servicemen. These clinicians are just that- clinicians... They have little incentive to do their best at work. Doctors are becoming more and more rare across the board with the cost of schooling and people start the college courses for it and rarely finish so the VA takes just about anyone as long as they have legit credentials and some type of working experience. Don't blame the workers- blame the system and blame the TOP of their food chain. I think this clinic does very good for their limited resources. I hate it when people say that veterans get healthcare "free of charge". Some of us gave us all our youth while most are like me and gave them my primetime youth years only. It's not fun and games and dare people forget the time we VOLUNTEERED. Don't you think veteran deserve better health care? Also, even disabled veterans pay into the taxes that fund all public and free resources. Just because it's "FREE" doesn't mean we should turn our cheeks the other way and just accept the system for what it is. I'm stuck going to this clinic because Humble had been turning new patients away. I don't think it's right to force veterans of any age or disability to drive or ride the extra miles. Hire more staff? Build a new annex? LOL yeah right *sarcasm* They won't fix the system at all. Some doctors are overworked serving the clinics in higher populated areas while some get to be closer to home and some feel forced to live clear across the country just to fill gaps in healthcare. I figure most of the doctors and specialist docs would want to work in a quiet town when nearing retirement age but I see some doctors who probably are in dire need of retirement but cant for one reason or another. BTW, WTH are we supposed to do if we have ear problems? I was told at this specific clinic that the VA doesn't touch ear health but just the basics of EVERYTHING ELSE? What if we get an ear tumor or get a bad enough ear infection that it becomes MORE? I'll ask another doctor at this facility or nurse but I just found it strange that they don't treat ear infections."
"The care is decent but there customer service and phone call center is absolutely the worst you can offer to people that have fought for our country and need medical care. You’ll be put on hold and transferred until kingdom come better luck next time shouldn’t have gotten hurt in Afghanistan."
"Everytime I call its "higher than normal call valume" and waits are 15-30 minutes. Then if you do get a person it's a 50/50 shot you get disconnected when they put you back on hold. No way to treat our veterans, absolutely disgusting treatment."
"Used to be really gr8 here, nit so much now. Lost orders, less than quality care than what you can get in the putside world. Each & every vet I'd entitled to the same gr8 quality and expeditious care that is offered to every American in the regular outside world"
"Excellent and very fast experience. The ladies at the front desk multitask and deal with lots lots of different attitudes on a daily basis. They come to work and assist and help out as professionals and this is my comment as a war VET. The building is always clean and smells good and every team member is a great representative to the V.A and the clinic for what it represents. Thank you all at Tomball V.A"
