"I am very upset and can’t wait to hear back from someone that represents AFC. The young lady at the front desk was excellent and the you lady who took care of me was also excellent. The bad experience is due to what the physician working today did and did not do. I was getting blood drawn and the tech/nurse was having trouble getting to a vein. She asked the doctor to assist and he rejected. As a patient sitting next door and hearing this, I’m left in a very angered state. He not once came in, to, at the very least, check on my experience considering what was going on. Instead of helping he preferred to sign off for me to go somewhere else to get the blood work done. This could’ve been a perfect teaching moment to help the tech but instead he chose otherwise. Horrible customer service, horrible leadership, horrible representation of the company. And being black in a place where majority white men, women and children are are the majority I can’t help but think about the disadvantages and disparities blacks continue to face in health care."

The waiting time was minimal, and I was seen by a doctor promptly. The facility was clean and well-maintained, making me feel comfortable during my visit. "Me and my family will never go here again and I don’t think anyone else should either. I brought my 3-1/2 year old daughter because her arm hurt really badly. They said with our insurance it would cost $30 which we paid beforehand. They did two different sets of x-rays because they didn’t get them right the first time, and then said it wasn’t broken and it was probably a sprain, so they wrapped it and gave her a sling. That turned out to be wrong, it was something called Nursemaid’s Elbow which was diagnosed correctly over the phone by my mother-in-law and in-person by a daycare worker. It’s extremely common in children her age and yet as far as I can tell, no one at this facility has ever even heard of it. It’s also easily fixed by stretching the arm, but they would have to have heard of it to be able to correct it. Then, more than three weeks after the visit that we had paid for, they decided to charge my credit card for a bunch more money with zero notification or authorization. I called twice and asked to speak to the office manager; both times I was told she would call me back and she never did. Finally the third time I called the office manager happened to answer the phone, and after explaining my concerns, she passed the phone off to someone else below her. That person was very rude and tried to dismiss everything my MIL and the daycare worker were right about, and was very condescending saying “Well you know Dr. Google is always right…”. There was zero accountability or responsibility taken and she even said she thought they had done nothing wrong whatsoever. When pushed about the fact I was told I would be billed one amount and then was billed 3+ weeks later for more money with no notification or authorization, she did finally say that I was told and charged the wrong amount initially, but apparently still saw nothing wrong with them charging me more 3+ weeks later with no notification or authorization. Almost every single thing four different people there told me was wrong, and yet it wasn’t even worth the office manager’s time to address or apologize for, and the person she passed me on too thought almost none of it was wrong. Between the inability to correctly diagnose or help my daughter, the borderline fraudulent billing practices, and the fact that they don’t even think they did anything wrong; I don’t think this is a place anyone should seek medical treatment from."

"The front desk staff was wonderful and the wait was not too long. The practitioner lacked bedside manner. My daughter had a Susie Ted toe fracture and prior to getting the x-ray report he was moving her toe all around, pushing in it, and saying he didn’t think it was fractured. It was extremely painful. We also got very limited instructions from him on how to handle the fracture and what he did say seemed like he was guessing. I will likely not return to this specific location. However, I do like AFC and we typically go to a different location which has always been great."

"I was a walk in, and they worked me in super quick. Once I was in the back it took no time at all to get my vitals, and tests done. My doctor was great, he changed my pharmacy to a 24 hour one, since the one I originally put down was closed. Before I knew it, I was already leaving to go get my medicine. My only wish is that they would have let me wait in the car, and text me when my room was ready, as I had a high fever and really intense chills. Otherwise, really great experience!"
