Reviews of Northeast Ob/gyn Associates
"Dr Paige was kind & had a nice personality. Made me feel comfortable for my first time with her. I was in & out."
"Everyone hates getting annuals, always embarrassing and uncomfortable but I have never felt any of these things when I come into this office and exactly why I’ll continue to come back. Paige Beal is the sweetest and non judgmental Dr I’ve ever gone to. She goes above and beyond, makes you feel comfortable about any questions you might have. Thank you for being so helpful and continue to be the best dr a woman could ask for."
"Wait times can be kind of long unless you're first thing in the morning or right after lunch, but I work in an outpatient clinic so I get it. I see Dr Harris and she is amazing. Super nice, thorough and answers all my questions. Excellent patient care. I've seen a few other physicians with the group since 2007 and didn't care for their bedside manner, but they provided decent medical care. Happened to be scheduled with her for an urgent appt 5 years ago and I've been seeing her since."
"I had the most traumatizing first experience going to the Basse location and being seen by Dr. Smith. I went in for what we found out to be a Bartholin’s cyst. I wasn’t sure what the recommended treatment was at the time, but as soon as Dr. Smith identified it she wanted to cut to drain it. I went with it, not knowing how these cysts are usually handled. 4 shots and 2 incisions later, nothing came out. Turns out it was premature and not ready to be drained like that. I learned only after the appt that the first action should be epsom salt baths. Only if it gets infected or very big do we turn to cutting it open. Dr. Smith never explained this. Now I’m in pain, bleeding and and cut down there for nothing. Do I know how long it’ll take to recover? No. Dr. Smith was out the door a second later. It was an awful experience. I'm going back, to a different location and doctor, tomorrow because now I think the incisions are getting infected. I'm pretty sure the incisions are causing me more problems than the cyst itself. One more chance for this clinic. If tomorrow's is terrible too, I'll do my best to tell everyone I know to avoid this place."
"I haven’t been to this location for care like that but I do go to this office and this is my second pregnancy here. The first I came late in and was glad they were able to take me later in my pregnancy. The doctor I had is no longer there but she was kinda cold. She always seemed tired and towards the end of that pregnancy she wanted to induce me due to preeclampsia. That was the only time she really sat down and talked to me and showed concern. She never helped me up when I was laying back for examinations I always struggled on my own to get me and my belly up and I didn’t like that. When I was induced it was a long horrible painful process. My labor would not progress on its own so they broke my water which was broke for like over 24 hours and then force me open so I could be 10 cm for the baby to end up breech and I have an emergency c section. Horrible. This time I went with a doctor word of mouth who so happened to be at this office and I regret it. She was on time for the first appt but after that always late. It got to the point I was spending 2-3 hours in the office and then being rushed through my appts. When I asked to switch i was told it was Too late in the pregnancy to switch which made me stop going. I didn’t book anymore appts because I was tired of spending hours in the appt and then getting rushed through. They kept calling me and calling me and then sent a letter to my old address. I didn’t know they sent mail or else I would have updated my address cause that’s my mom’s address and I don’t like my mail to go to her house. Furthermore I thought I had my mail being forwarded somewhere else but they sent it certified so my mom had to sign for it and it looks like she tried to open it which pissed me off and is why I don’t get mail sent to her house. Anyways I also was due for a annual which I forgot about until recently in August but the doctor never mentioned this at my August appt. Then she comes in the room says some generic stuff and then asks if I have questions. The one time I did have questions she looked antsy but I had been waiting hours to see her I know my insurance pays for at least a 15 min slot. Idk I just feel like I don’t know her and I’m not happy she’s delivering my baby but it seems I’m having complications and will need to go back in to see her asap. I didn’t wanna say anything I. Case it for back to her and my life will be in her hands while delivering so I just decided to stop going to her cause I was already being monitored weekly for other complications so as long as my baby was moving and healthy and all that I didn’t see why I needed to go to her so she can listen to the heartbeat ask if I have questions and send me on my way. I’m super stressed now an anxious for the office to open so I can go get some labs done. I just want my baby to be ok. I just wish the doctors were better around here and actually cared and took time to treat us like we matter.Yea this office is one of their more ghetto ones and I won’t be back. First the on call doctor told me to go in for labs yesterday and didn’t tell me I needed an order and didn’t put one in. So I took time off work to go first thing In the morning. Signed in they don’t have a waiting area you have to go back into the tiny waiting room. I don’t know where the tech was but she wasn’t in the office so I went out and waited like 20 min or so and she finally called me back. Only to not be able to find the orders. She said id have to go back into the tiny waiting room and wait cause she had to “keep rolling” didn’t have a timeframe. So I left and called the nurse myself to get the orders put in. I was upset because I already took time off for no reason and would have to leave again. Was told I could go to Quest. Cool one close to me. Went and the orders didn’t show up in their system so they couldn’t help and I had to go back to the ghetto office. Had to wait again with two ppl ahead and when I went back some lady was standing in the hall and the tech didn’t close the curtain for privacy and I didn’t sign a thing which was weird. Ghetto."
