"My procedure itself was fine, and I have no complaints about that, which is the only reason for the two stars. However, there are some serious problems with the billing department here, leading to hundreds of dollars of surprise bills weeks later. If you have a procedure done, they’ll tell you what you owe the Endoscopy Center in advance, but they don’t tell you that anesthesia and biopsies are billed separately. I found out anesthesia was billed separately on the day of my procedure, and had to sign a form acknowledging that, but no estimate was given, and I couldn’t really back out at that point anyway. It certainly wasn’t fun to go into my procedure worrying about how much extra the anesthesia might cost me! No one ever told me biopsies would be billed separately, and I never had to sign anything agreeing to this. Make sure you keep your address up to date because I only found out about this a few weeks after my procedure when I got a bill in the mail from a place I’d never heard of. No phone call or email or any other communication about the bill. When I contacted the Endoscopy Center to ask about the bill, they told me to contact Dr. Havranek’s office. Dr. Havranek’s office told me to contact the lab that did the biopsies. The lab told me to contact the Endoscopy Center. Super frustrating experience. If you’re going to go here, ask them for an estimate for the procedure, anesthesia, and potential biopsies, otherwise you’ll get hit with hundreds of dollars worth of surprise bills later, and no one willing to take responsibility."
"I had a procedure here and the staff and doctors were all so nice. The process was easy once I got there and they made me very comfortable. I don't have any of the post billing info yet so I can't speak to that. But the staff was outstanding and I so appreciate their high level of care and professionalism."
"I have no idea about anyone else’s experience here that warranted a less than stellar review, but I can tell you mine was beyond exceptional. It exceeded my lofty and sometimes unreasonable expectations by far. My procedure was scheduled for noon with a show time of 11. From the time I arrived, I was treated great. Dr. Havranek performed my procedure at 12pm sharp and I was on my by 12:40. Everything went off without a hitch and I received my results immediately and their follow up was great. I have to say, this was one of the best experiences I’ve had at any medical facility in the country, and I’ve been to lots of them. Exceptional professional and care from start to finish. Thank you all for being so awesome."
"I had a colonoscopy done today and this place was amazing. Lauren the pre-op nurse was anmazing and a true professional. I can’t say enough great things about the entire team! Highly recommend getting screened for colon cancer and this place is perfect!!!"
"Nobody provides specific coverage information and how many and what different entities are involved. Hence, even if you ask them, you will not get the information of all parties and their cost involved. Therefore, surprises are still coming in 6 months after procedure with additional $1400 bills. I understand that the patient needs to ensure all cost is covered for all parties involved with the procedure, but when the patient asks about that information, then it should be provided."
