About the STD/HIV Clinic
The STD/HIV Clinic located at 512 East Highland Boulevard in San Antonio, Texas, United States, is a health institution dedicated to providing services for sexually-transmitted infections (STIs) and HIV. If you suspect you may have been exposed to an STI, it is important to see a healthcare provider for evaluation and treatment.
The clinic also offers PrEP (Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis) for individuals at high risk of HIV infection. PrEP involves taking a daily medication to reduce the risk of acquiring HIV from a positive partner. Studies have shown that when taken consistently, PrEP can significantly lower the risk of HIV transmission.
Patients at the STD/HIV Clinic will receive evaluations, lab work, and counseling from a PrEP Navigator. Appointments can be scheduled by calling 210-207-7292, although walk-ins are also welcome. The clinic is part of the End Stigma End HIV Alliance, aiming to end the HIV epidemic in San Antonio and Bexar County.
Parking is free at the clinic, and hours of operation are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Wednesday from 7:45 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., and Friday from 7:45 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The latest a client can be seen is 45 minutes prior to closure, subject to change based on capacity.
Fees for services vary, but special arrangements can be considered. Patients can access personal health information through the Metro Health Patient Portal. The clinic also offers mobile STI clinics at various locations and dates. Take steps to protect your health and visit the STD/HIV Clinic for comprehensive care and support.

Reviews of STD/HIV Clinic
"Never come to this place, the front desk worker Amanda is very rude. Having to come here is already embarrassing enough, and having to deal with her on top of it almost makes it enough to not even get seen"
"Really polite and waited less than an hour to be seen."
"GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. Waited 3 hours my first visit and ended up having to leave for work without being seen. I then returned the next day against my better judgment and experienced the same thing. I watched multiple people get served ahead of me, despite the “first come first served” act they pull, and still saw noone. Reception seems to have no real communication with the back. Seems incompetent."
"The phone prompts answer mostly all questions, It may take a few times to get a hold of front desk, left message but was able to get front desk. The staff was very friendly over the phone. I arrived, testing was not for myself. The security apparently was rude in asking him to wait in line. We came in together due to him being reluctant to get meds. However not sure what happened due to I was trying to get him treatment. Security was not approachable at all. Not welcoming but I proceed first maybe due to she was holding a bag of ice...maybe injured but I wasn't sure why she was holding a bag of ice up to her neck area. A c maybe not working but seemed to me was working. We didn't get past security due to my other half got upset , he walked out. He said there is a way to speak to people, I called to avoid any interaction and make it as easy as possible but he was upset and said I will go som where else but not here. We left, however still recommend service with staff."
"The lady I’m the front giving the papers to fill out was so kind and even helped me out with giving me further instructions on how I should fill it out because that was my first time ever doing something like this. The nurse was so kind I believe her name was haylie and she made me feel comfortable and welcomed and asked me the right questions so my shot wouldn’t hurt. Excellent service don’t know how anyone wouldn’t feel welcomed."
