"My son (age 4) was scheduled to see Dr. Mitchell for an ADHD evaluation. Both of my in laws & my husband have ADHD, so we are very familiar with the signs of ADHD. After speaking with his pediatrician, she agreed that he displayed some ADHD behaviors, the biggest one being his impulsivity and anger outbursts and overreactions. We were happy to get scheduled very quickly and were thrilled to finally get my kid a diagnosis and discuss a path to make him more successful in preschool and at home. My husbands first impression of Dr. Mitchell was that she was incredibly rude, dismissive, and not welcoming to kids. No 4 year old is going to feel comfortable at a new doctors office, but especially so when the doctor is off putting. My son was already unsure of being at a new doctor, but add to it a woman who clearly is not kid friendly, he was over it to say the least. So, he was quite rough when trying to do the assessment. Dr. Mitchell was pressing the fact that my kid did NOT have ADHD and even brought up Autism and ODD. Not that there’s anything wrong with either, but we were almost positive it’s ADHD. She also kept reiterating that she does not like testing kids under the age of 6… which why schedule the appt at all if that’s the case and you know my kid is 4? We have since taken our child elsewhere, and have gotten him diagnosed with ADHD. So, this just goes to show that she is clearly unable to work with young children, and is not well versed in how ADHD can present itself in a young child differently than an older one. As a parent, I was very disappointed in this experience. I do not recommend this doctor whatsoever."

"I called and left a message to inquire about scheduling an assessment per my current health provider. Amber returned my call and asked for my insurance info. After I stated that it was an HMO, she cut me off to state that they did not accept HMOs. That wasn’t really a big deal, since I was expecting to pay out of pocket. However, her dismissive tone was off putting and made me want to seek this service elsewhere. Please use this as feedback to work on your delivery."

The doctor took the time to listen to all of my concerns and I felt like she truly cared about me and my child. She explained her logic to me and I could actually understand the report. The turn around time was fast and we'll worth the cost. The doctor was warm, patient, and caring. Also. I did not have to wait to get my child in nearly as long as other places. I highly recommend this place and feel like they offer a valuable service to the community and my family."
