"Due to limit count stuff had to be shortened! I do not recommend ever trying to send yourself or a family member to this facility! I stayed here from Feb 21st-26th 2024, and it was hell. If you ever call them to ask what you can bring they will tell you yes to just about anything and deny it once youre checked in. They have strict rules on toiletries and even if you follow the rules they won't let you use them unless you have a doctors note. The hall I was unfortunately put on for the majority of the stay was their 1400 hall which is gear more for older people with dementia and psychotic episodes. The staff basically just drops you off in the hall and zips out. They don't tell you when you get a room. They don't tell you about the schedule and don't really try to enforce it, you have to ask about everything and I mean everything. there's no clocks in the rooms, there's only 2 in the entire area a good distance from the rooms you sleep in. You 're lucky if you can sleep here due to some of the patients spending all night screaming and pacing up and down the hallways. Earplugs make a difference on getting a tiny bit of sleep, but it doesn't help with the staff constantly leaving the doors open and slamming them open to do their 'wellness checks' every 15 minutes. The 1300 hall does these checks better, they close the doors at night and during the day they knock and actually CHECK ON YOU. Some people say its just the burnout that's gotten to them, I understand your exhaustion but understand why the patients are there. Not all techs but most will just straight up ignore your until you basically prove to them you're sane, also just hope and pray whatever you ask them actually gets done. There were also times that the techs would not be present on the floor with all the patients which was a big safety issue. I personally had a patient get in my face, and later that same patient broke into the visitation area while it was going on. This whole place was a safety issue for yourself, there are people throwing things, slamming on doors and windows, getting in your face, and being threatened. Now getting into the meat of the issue, Friday 23rd I signed a AMA to leave the place due stress and the place creating other problems. What I didn't know was that my husband called in to see what could be done to get me out the nurses told them I had to sign an AMA and then they would take me to court. Which per parodical is WRONG, when you sign an AMA they have 4hrs to have you checked by the physician/psychiatrist if theyre not there then the on-call (Which I was not checked in the 4hrs), if they deem you unable they have to do a 24hr hold to which the actual physician/psychiatrist checks you and determines if youre able to leave or if theyre going to take you to court. In my case they wanted to take me to court. So I would have to be there until Monday at the earliest, but the kicker for it all was the fact that they DROPPED the court case on Monday without telling me. Since that was the case they needed to release me immediately per my patient rights. Sadly I was so stressed out on getting out I didn't mention it but they at least graced me with letting me leave that Monday. But due to them dragging their feet on the issue and not actually letting me out earlier I did start to physically suffer in that place. I got to the point of not being able to eat without throwing up, my blood pressure at it's highest was 162/93, and my heartrate was around 110-130 for 3 days straight all due to stress. It took me being in this condition to let me move to their other hall since it was 'nicer'. All in all this place was a terrible experience, caused me so much stress, and possible ptsd from all the yelling. The only thing that they did okay in was find the correct meds for me but that was a struggle fighting to keep it at a dose I KNOW worked for me and my body. I do think there were a few techs that were great and my final nurse that I have my last 2 days was a godsend since she was my best advocate in that place."
"This place lies to clients and their family. It was very unexpected and unethical. Do not trust them. My daughter is going through a nightmare experience now here that we can not get her out of. She went voluntarily dealing with postpartum depression thinking she was going to get therapy, and she has not had a single session of therapy and now has to appear in front of a judge to get to come home! She's never even gotten a speeding ticket! She is being so traumatized by this experience, and so are we. Do not let a loved one go here. This place is not for treating depression. This is for people with schizophrenia not depressed mothers of babies. They took items from her she was told she could bring as well. Also per other reviews we did call the Ethics and compliance number. It's just a third party reporting. It's a joke. You have been warned ⚠️ Dr Manu Mathews sent her here."
"I had an ankle monitor that was tight for 3 days and another patient had an episode to help me so they could loosen it. One of the staff will let you see their phone I was on TikTok I showed him my account. And he told me it was family owed facility and he didn’t have a degree! Are you kidding me!? I didn’t feel safe at all. I told them the last hospital I went to,which was my first one, that I had 2 bad experiences with PATIENTS. So I did NOT want a roommate. And they said okay and the next day I had gotten a roommate. Or talked and walked in their sleep. I was crying everynight . I had a toothbrush and was listening to the janitor and brushing my teeth and tongue and it starts bleeding and the janitor brought me out and the nurses didn’t believe that I was just brushing my teeth. And I had to stay in my room for the night. Until my roommate went in there. I was so scared to say the least. This was 2 years ago and I still cry over it when it get reminded or thought of it. DO NOT RECOMMEND WELLBRIDGE TO ANYONE. ESPECIALLY YOUR KIDS."
"I had the opportunity of visiting this facility in connection with a patient there. We were not allowed to proceed beyond the reception area and the lobby. It looked like a neat and nice facility outwardly, and from how much we could see of it within. Most telephonic conversations with the nursing staff on earlier occasions were always pleasant and helpful. However, knowing that a receptionist is usually the face of an organization, the person there certainly needed to do much better. Also, the nursing personnel discharging the patient certainly needed to be more professional. Do understand, however, that this is an outsider's impression, and not of a person treated there. Overall, this looked like a transitional facility, through which patients are processed without much of subsequent supportive measures in place."
"Got admitted and they just gave me pills and fed me. When I got home and read through my discharge papers I learned that they diagnosed me with schizophrenia. They never said anything to me about it while I was there. It would've been really great to know and actually get to talk to someone about it while I was there. Also when I was being let out they tried acting like they didn't have my phone like the woman was going to try and steal it or something. Everyone else's phones were in boxes and being given back. I had to ask multiple times. Eventually the woman went to the back and got it. The overall facility was really clean and organized. The food was good and the staff were pretty respectful. I'm only giving two stars because I really needed the help and didn't get it while I was there."
