"Never Again ! Went for imaging there because nurse at my Drs office recommended I go there. Show my insurance card and lady checks it. Says everything is ok but that I have to pay 1,300 to help meet deductible or something like that. So I paid because I was concerned about my health, although I thought it wasn’t right. I go back to dr for results. Dr orders more testing “ just to be sure”. This time they want $411. I decided to shop around since by this time I felt more comfortable about my condition. I learned that my insurance was out of network with STAT. Had I gone with an in network the original test would have been ZERO ! I got the test on Springfield- the one for $411- for zero. The admissions lady could have easily suggested I try someone else. But no ! Never mentioned I was out of network. Devious at best. She NEVER mentioned “out of network “ , only that I had to pay $1,300 to help meet insurance deductible. People beware ! Oh and I only gave 4 stars because it wouldn’t let me leave a comment with 2 stars !"
"Went in with a family member about two weeks ago for an abdominal ultrasound. Didn't have any issues. Fast service. Nurses and ultrasound tech were super nice to us and professional :)"
"We have used STAT for a long time now and I feel that our experiences have always been positive. However, when we have used STAT as an outpatient hospital for sonograms, we have been thoroughly disappointed. I am not sure of the name of the sonogram. It starts with an R (Renan is what I understood, but I am not sure). He is tall and works at both STAT and Laredo ER. BEWARE!!! He has done three sonograms for my daughter (15). The first time was to check her gallbladder. He was very aggressive. I didn’t put too much thought into it since I am not a technician. What would I know?! My daughter complained a lot because she felt it was too rough and she was in a lot of pain. The second time, we went to Laredo ER to avoid him, but there he was! Doing sonograms there too! This time it was for ovaries. He was very rough, all the while my daughter was already in pain from an ovarian bleed. He pressed and pressed and left without so much as speaking to me. When the doctor came back we find out that the technician was not able to locate the ovaries. All of that pain he caused her for nothing! Several doctors and technicians have all said this was a user error. Her gynecologist found the ovaries with no issues. The last time we went to STAT, we went with hope that it wouldn’t be him, but the alternative was to wait a month before one of the hospitals could do the sonogram. So, we went. To our disappointment, it was him again. This time was no different, he was very rough. We were there for kidney pain. My daughter ended up at the ER (we went to clear choice at that point) because of the pain he left her in. To say that he is excessive is an understatement. He is neglectful and I don’t know why it has to be done in such a rough manner. We had a second d sonogram that same evening and the technician was completely gentle and took about half the time to do a sonogram on all the organs. How is this possible?! The job can be done without hurting people. I understand that sometimes you have to push, but this man does it without any care. It feels malicious."
"I was referred here by my doctor to have my routine blood work done as part of my wellness check. A year later, I got a bill for almost $3000 dollars for the blood work done. The bill included a “discount” that lowered the bill to almost $1800. This is the most expensive price I’ve ever paid for blood work! I was never advised of prices and I trusted them since they referred me to my doctor and my doctor to them! Don’t go there for blood work. Edit 12/15/21: I submitted the information requested to the HR email provided on 11/17/21, heard nothing, and sent a follow up email on 12/7/21. No response. A simple return communication would be appropriate so that I know someone is at least looking at it, rather than me having to post about it on a public forum to try and elicit a response. I'll go ahead and keep everyone updated on the lack of customer service here."
