"My sister is on disability and does not have much income. She has Medicare Advantage and is on the QMB program which covers any Medicare cost sharing portion such as co-pays, deductibles etc. We were told after we drove from Midland to Lubbock that they do not take QMB so she would have to pay any cost sharing for the appointment and x-rays etc...Although I had paperwork stating that they could not deny her and could not charge her, the lady insisted she would pay or basically not be seen. Billing departments need to let there front desk people know what the billing procedures are and how to follow them. I'm sure Dr. Calmes is a good doctor, but we will stick with MD Anderson"
"We had car trouble the day of my first appointment with Dr.Warmoth..We called to let them know our situation..I spoke with Celeste on the phone she was not very compassionate at all..She kept cutting me off in my conversation with her scolding me for calling so late..I get it but We did not know we where gonna have this problem with our car she she gave this I do not care tone to me....So I told her "We did not want to have anything to do with a company that treats there new patients as such"..Her response was "That's fine have a good day".Not I am sorry or just showing some kind of compassion..We where wowed..We had always heard such good things about Arthritis Associates of lubbock..Guess we where wrong wrong our mistake.."
"It is a shame that the business staff has such unreasonable and rigid policies. Dr. Calmes and his healthcare staff provide excellent care, however the business staff refuses to accept my new Blue Cross Medicare Advantage plan and demands that I pay out of pocket despite being a patient there for years without any problems. They care more about money than patient care. My other doctors and providers have had no problems and have been paid promptly by my new plan despite also being out of network. It is disappointing that I must find a new doctor."
"Really difficult to get a hold of to schedule a new patient appointment. I'm having the same experience as a review from 7 months ago and it appears nothing has changed in the scheduling process. I've been waiting two weeks and have not had any voicemails returned. In response to the owner's reply--if the coordinator is out on maternity leave why do I keep getting transferred to her voicemail instead of helped by those handling the referrals? The receptionist has also never mentioned this and just that the coordinator would return my call and I should continue to wait. When I asked if there was anyone else that could help me with getting scheduled I was told no. Just misleading and frustrating. **2 weeks later and I still havent heard anything"
"My mother has been out of her medication for almost 2 weeks. We have called the pharmacy as well as the office and nobody is getting back. We will be looking for another provider because this place is a joke. And if the excuse is given that someone is out on sick or maternity leave, that is not the patients problem...it is the responsibility of the office to cover that absence and handle their voicemails etc. I work as a case manager and I know this is not how it is supposed to work. Come on , we all know there is a way to be more professional!! I feel sorry for the people that have nobody to advocate for them and have to mess with getting information from this office. Sooooo sad"
