"Sorry that I have to revise my review from 5***** to just 1*, my first doctor was great, listen and always too his time to help. But the last year it has been a challenge to find a good doctor in this office. Last visit I went in and explained about a hearing problem without even looking at my ear I was told that a cleaning would cost $375. So I went to a different health clinic as it got worse and it was a serious ear infection which needed antibiotics and ear drops. 2.5years ago: I have the best experience with the Texas Tec Familie clinic, everyone is sweet and has lots of patience. My doctor is the best! All appointments I had so far were all on time."
"I've gone to TTHSC for many years and had a wonderful nurse practice...but, she retired, so, I got another NP that I really like--Shelley Seth! But, I visited a Dr. for another reason---and, my experience was not a good one at all. Turns out my niece who is a pharmacist was there with the psychiatrist and, we had a discussion that involved a family issue and, she was not being professional and was quite confrontational towards me, I felt. In my opinion, she should not have been there with me if she was going to be that way. She had been given some erroneous information about a family issue, and, she never gave me the courtesy of recusing herself or hearing my side of what had actually occurred on that family situation in my humble opinion. I felt she was confrontational towards me and I don't believe she should have been involved with my visit to to that Dr., a psychiatrist for depression. I've thought about calling her, asking to meet w/her and having a conversation that explained my version of what had really happened...but, I vascillate on the possibility of fair and equitable conversation. So, if she sees this and is interested in hearing my side, I'd like, very much, the opportunity to rectify this situation. I went to NM every other weekend for 5 whole years to see my mom...I took her to all her Dr's. appointments in Clovis and Lubbock, filled up her pillboxs, took her out to eat in Clovis, catered and drove to her wishes of going to Clovis to eat, cooked for her, picked up around her house...and, more. To do that, I worked at a menial job 6d/a week, then, worked M-W, then packed, drove to NM and did my absolute best to take good care of so she could stay in her house as long as she was able. So, if my niece sees this...please know I'd truly love 2 meet w/her and have an equitable conversation because, I do love her. I've prayed for some resolution because I do love her. Thx 4 listening to my side of this long story...."
"If I could give 0 stars, I would. I had an abnormal test and was supposed to be referred to a specialist. I called after a month of no news and the nurse basically told me to stop bothering them, because the Dr. was getting around to it. I tried after 3 months and got the same run around. It has been over 6 months now and no referral. I went elsewhere, but needed to come back to Tech for my records. They claimed I owed them $ and wouldn't release them. When I told the lady on the phone that they hadn't followed up with me, and that I was getting no help, she gave me a snide "Bless your heart, and then started in about how I owe them money again (no talk of any fixing the issue or helping with the referral)." Fast forward to needing my childs shot records now, the first woman that picked up the phone was rude and basically told me that I couldn't get the records unless I joined their online system. She then forwarded me to a guy that was literally sighing at me, and raising his voice as I was trying to set up their crazy online "portal" (which by the way had no records.) I was having a hard time figuring it out, and instead of being helpful he acted like I was ruining his day. He was making sure to talk over me, and for some reason trying to strong arm on the phone, eventually I just agreed with everything he said, even though I couldn't understand what he was saying, just so he would quit raising his voice with irritation. He would give a direction and then say OK?! in the rudest voice he could muster.. Everyone working there that I have dealt with is rude, in a terrible mood and incompetent. I don't see how this place is even in this area. Every other hospital, Dr. Office that I have seen are filled with smiling courteous people. If you have insurance that allows to go anywhere else, do it. They literally just treat you like dirt under their shoes."
"My son has a great doctor and if I was reviewing him specifically, I would give him 4 stars. But this is for the clinic itself. One of his medications I have to call to request a refill, and because I am paying for it out of pocket, I request that it go to a specific pharmacy (even though the other meds go to a different one). It almost never fails, after waiting for supervisor approval, it gets sent to the wrong pharmacy, which charges twice as much (out of pocket) as the other one. Then I have to tell that pharmacy to cancel it and then call the clinic again and go through it all over again, and hope that they get it right. Believe me, I would love to have them all at the same one, would make my life easier, but it is what it is. I just wish I didn't have this much hassle getting a prescription refill."
"The service is horrible! The only thing good is the actual doctors. The pediatric clinic service representatives are very rude and impatient. They often give you wrong information so you just get a tub around. Family medicine is just as bad. I had to get my daughter's Medicaid provider changed before they would set up an appointment at all. so I changed the PVP just for me to call back and put on hold for 20 minutes just for them to tell me to call back in an hour so they can get the fax. They would not accept the reference number or set up the appointment until they got the dad. I am so fusterated with this business. By far the worst service in Amarillo!"
